Its because the viewscreen is set to the aft viewer, it isnt a windshield, you know.

my Klingon has several bridges that don't have a view screen at all...including the default one...meaning the captain sits looking a big blank patch of wall...and no it's not "supposed to be like that"...its not like in like that in the preview pictures for the involved bridge...and some of them are in a bought and paid for bridge pack...ANY CHANCE OF FIXING THOSE WHILE YOU'RE AT IT ?

I think I've said this 20 times already, the ship is already turned around, it will be fixed in an upcoming patch. There is no need to keep reporting this.

    Dear Taco,

I think I've said it 20 times already too, when are you people ever going to fix the missing body parts issue on Embassy boffs?! Boff heads gone invisible! It's even documented on the STO wiki now! It happens when you have another Captain train them (these boffs, as you know, come with unchangeable looks, hence probably don't get 'retextured', or what not, on the swap).

Don't you get it?! You can put thousands of hours into building new and shiny bridges; but with boffs (the kind you need: with CrtH) missing various body parts, there's no point going to the bridge in the first place, as missing heads/feet, etc, is a huge deal breaker.

Can't you ppl send off 1 guy to go do a 5-minutes job of fixing this issue?! The persistence with which this bug never gets fixed, is as bewildering as it is strange. Please, make it so that I can visit my bridges again.

    Thank you!

To be honest, this is what has kept me from getting any embassy boffs yet.

That said, however, I know from experience that in programming and graphics work there is rarely ever a "quick fix". Fixing this one bug might break every other NPC or boff in the game, or something else like that. It would be absurd to think that they aren't aware or have tried nothing at all to fix it in their dev-environment.

Take for instance this current thread's bug. Seems simple, turn the mesh around. But odds are that may interfere with pathing, texture mapping, and other tiny things that we don't see behind the "Matrix".

It is frustrating, but not particularly gamebreaking.

In the case of missing Embassy boff body parts, I bet the fix really *is* easy. Since you can't modify their looks, when you transfer them to another Captain, for training, they likely just forgot to add a single line that says "RETEXTURE boff upon transer," as they do for regular boffs (needed, as other Captains may not have the same costumes as you). So, the textures they *do* get, are what just happens to be in some cache (or not, as the case may be).

They might as well make em changeable, while they're at it. I'm not sure what brainiac at Cryptic thought that having clones of all the same boff on your bridge was a good idea to begin with.

While on the new Origins Bridge, I've noticed that the stars on the view screen appear to be moving backwards, as if the bridge is located at the stern of the ship and faces rear-ward.

Although I would point out that the viewscreen can view the aft of the ship, as the viewscreen is not a window.

True, what would be sort of cool is a Aft View, Starboard View, Port View, and Fore View.
I would love to visit this star in-game...or maybe this one!

I pretend the conn officer is fascinated with where we've been.

I didn't mind before, but I noticed one thing...

If you go to your (Captain's) room and look outside the window, you'll see warp field effect "going" from the right side to the left.

Bridge is separated from your room with just one door.
Effect through the "viewer" gives feeling that the ship is moving in the opposite direction.

    Conclusion A:
    1) That's not viewer, that's windshield
    2) Bridge is on tha back on the ship. Who fights while looking backwards? O_O I'll have to tell my conn to turn the ship around by 180? each time I want to have a look at the enemy, only to turn it around again so that my trigger-happy tac officer can blindly go "LEEEROOOOY JEEENKIIINS" with plasma beams and torpedoes.

    Conclusion B:
    Romulan ale should be banned.

Just in case nobody has said it.

When standing in the middle of the bridge and looking straight at the view screen, there is a glare or something on it. The whole middle of the view screen is gray with a little part on each side showing the stars. If you go to the side of the screen and look at it, this glare is gone.

Another thing, if you look up at the ceiling, there is a window there and the stars are also moving the wrong direction.

Also I think the lighting on the bridge is a little too dim.
