Suggestion for Kar'Fi & S'kul Fighters:

The Kar'Fi and Fighters have gone through a lot of changes over time and what used to be considered Over Powered is now underpowered thanks to massive creep.

The Devs already gave the Kar'Fi its second hangar bay which only seems appropriate but considering that the Jem'Hadar Dreadnaught (which had no business being a carrier honestly) is basically the super version of the Kar'Fi but has almost NO science and yet still has Subsystem targeting I believe it is time to give it to the Kar'Fi as well.

The Kar'Fi is a more traditional Carrier than the Dreadnaught and it would not make it anywhere near OP to have the standard Rank I Subsystem targeting abilities like every other carrier out there.


As for the S'kul fighters: The new veterancy system for fighters really hurts these fighters. Most fighters rarely live long enough to see Rank II (and thus be as powerful as they used to be) due to how fragile they are which is a problem with the entire system but THESE fighters actively commit suicide. That is how they deal their biggest punch of damage but that ensures they are NEVER going to see beyond Rank II in most cases assuming they even get that far.

So with that in mind I would suggest the following change:

For normal S'kuls either star them off alread at Rank I or speed up their rate for gaining veterancy by half (as in 50% faster not Double speed AKA 100% faster).

For Advanced S'kuls either start them off already at Rank II or speed up their rate for gaining veterancy by double.

For Elite S'kuls either star them off already at Rank III or speed up their rate for gaining veterancy by triple.

A similar thing could be done for Jem'Hadar Attack Ship pets as they likewise like to commit suicide.

    Maybe just make the Fleet Kar'fi, make the tac lt a universal? Enhanced flexibility and all, and its not exactly unheard of for fleet ships to do such a thing.

    Before the changes went live, they changed the base damage (with no stars) back to be equal to what they had before, so the fighters should be dealing the same numbers as before. Though, they still loose out compared to other fighters since they don't live long enough to gain many stars. Giving them faster veteran rank gains would probably interact with Wing Commander trait, giving them stars at a rate that could be OP, particularly if you could get them to rank up in Intercept mode before unleashing them at a target.

    As for the Fleet Kar'fi they seem reluctant to give it any sort of universal BOff slot for some reason. Still a nice upgrade with +10% hull and shields and a fourth Tac console, though.

    Eh... I do not think the BOFF layout really needs much tweaking TBVH. Just giving it back the Subsystem Targeting would be a nice boon.
