Suggestion: End the Federation/KDF war while improving PVP

With all the new and old threats, New Romulus, etc there really is no reason to keep the war going besides PvP. Due to the power creep and massive imbalance between the number of Federation vs KDF toons, PvP is just about dead.

What I would like to see is for the Federation/KDF war to end and the Devs to convert PvP into an open wargame system complete with it's own reputation and ranking system.

What I mean by an "open wargame system" is that anyone, regardless of faction, can join any PvP team. Or you can premake teams using any Federation, KDF, or Romulan players. As the player's team wins, each player would get PvP marks/Dilithium/EC/etc. Also, have more game options other than just kill everyone. A few suggestions besides Team Deathmatch include:
-Capture the Flag: Each team has a flag on an asteroid/platform/etc. When an opponent gets within X kilometers a "Beam up the Flag" appears on their screen, and the flag holder gets a big indicator on their ship. The rules would be identical to any FPS but with ships in space.
-Capture the Freighters: Each team starts on the opposite side of the map with a neutral freighter in the middle. The Freighter will follow whoever has the most ships closest to it. When it gets to one team's starting point, they get a capture and a new one will spawn in the middle of the map.
-PvE objective race. Ex: the team that inflicts the most damage on the Borg Unicomplex or Voth megaship wins. Or the team that destroys the most Elachi ships in another invasion of New Romulus wins.

I would also put in a completely optional PvP pug system that matches players based on their ship and career type, and their current PvP reputation level. This way, new players (or players with new toons) could learn PvP without getting repeatedly instakilled and stomped into frustration by veterans with full reputation gear and extreme P2W ships and gear.

    I think the wargame concept should be extended to include all of the PvE content as well. It should be made clear in the game texts that there are no actual hostilities among any of the entities or factions in the galaxy. Anything that resembles a hostile act is just a friendly game of tag.

    PvP needs a lot more than a few game modes to make it decent again it actually needs balancing properly for one thing which will never happen as Cryptic actively go out their way to hamstring one of the factions.

    the only way to balance PuG is to make the ques completely random for teams. You que up and are randomly assigned to a side, even if you are on a team or in a differeing faction.

    its the only way quiet the cries of unfair, etc etc.
