Look, the adult language filter is there for a reason and it is on in the game by default.
If someone wants to turn it off they have to go into settings and turn it off.
If someone goes into settings and turns off the adult language filter then they are taking on the responsibility of being exposed to adult language.
So, if they are offended by adult language they should leave the filter on so if I call someone a f*&king moron for doing something stupid, they won't be offended right.
Don't call me on TOS violations over this minutia.
During Infected Conduit Elite some mouth breathing TRIBBLE noobs blew a generator before the first cube was down and I said in group chat "****ing morons". Right so see above.
The point is, you can't turn the adult language filter off, then claim you are offended by adult language. That's like ordering a all the Movie Channels from your Cable company then complaining because you were exposed to brief nudity, adult language or graphic violence in a movie.

*applauds* Well said sir, and I'm not being sarcastic.

Language filters which censor "profanity," "vulgarity," "swearing," "cussing," etc, are a product of socio-economic snobbery and cultural-linguistic prejudice on the part of the Normans who conquered England in AD 1066. Check any decent textbook on Linguistics or History of the English Language, s.v. "Taboo Words." Here are a couple of examples of blogs discussing the subject: http://sethkeiper.com/2013/03/20/evolution-of-profanity/
There's nothing "moral" about it, much less is there anything "ethical" about it. It's just unexamined traditional custom with an extremely unethical origin, it's almost 1,000 years old, and it should have died almost 1,000 years ago.
Hate speech and racial, homophobic, transphobic, ethnic, sexist, etc slurs are another matter, but so-called "vulgarity"? Give it up. "Vulgar" is Latin for "Common," because the Common People of England spoke the Common Tongue of English, and the pompous Norman "nobles" looked down their noses at the English people and their language (meanwhile, compare the literal translations of Norman French expletives with the meanings of the Old English expletives used at the time; the difference is shocking, with the more explicit terms coming from the Normans, not the Anglo-Saxons).

I agree that it is total BS. But it's not my game.
