I pilot a ship that I call the USS Challenger. I recently discovered that there is a semi-canon ship of that name that had a registry number of NCC-91099. I attempted to change my ship's registry number to reflect this, but even though I paid my EC to do it, the number hasn't changed.
When I hit U, the info for the ship appears correct, but when you actually look at the ship, the old number is still on the hull. Is this a glitch in the game, or is there a trick to getting it to correct itself?
The name and hull numbers on the model of your ship are set as your zone into map. Warp to another space zone, or Change Characters and log back into the same character. Your new hull number should be showing.
Hmm. The only other thing I can think of is that your game client is caching some data as it's running. Try to exit the game client and restart it. If that doesn't work, I'm don't know.
I'm using a Regent. Since I've already paid for the ship, can I delete the one I have and get a new one for free? Or would this cost me an additional $25?
Go to the ship tailor and make a few changes and then revert back.
That worked!
I changed the skin then the windows. When the windows changed, the registry changed as well. I manually set the skin and windows back to my original settings. This let me keep the new number while costing 0EC to purchase.
One more quick question while I have everyone's attention; what are all these new, hideous dinosaur skull looking things whipping around today?

Awesome, thank you! That thing might be ugly as sin, but it looks strong. I might have to give it a try!
