    Something weird occurred to me just now: maybe Gene Roddenberry was making a statement about Australia's rabbit problem?

    Or maybe he was just high. I dunno.

    That CANNOT be healthy breeding. Those poor animals look miserable. :(:(:(

    That is actually a fairly typical appearance for a ruby-eyed or giant Angora rabbit.

    Just because it's an established breed doesn't give the animal a good quality of life. :( And sadly, there are a number of "accepted" breeds among domestic animals that have been bred into unhealthy or even outright diseased conditions. It's a shame.
