I have a thread about torps going in the main section but I am no good with the math or mechanics if you could take a look and comment that would be great.
I am over 9000% more likely to end up getting a message from the mods about something I did not edit fast enough while posting in the General Discussion area.
I try to avoid it like the ex-wife now...lol. Though, some of the replies in the thread there from folks were - ahem - funny, yeah...they're the kind of things where I post, go for a smoke, and hope that I'm fast enough before getting a message from a mod or having the post edited by them.
To an extent, the PvE folks are right - because PvE is PvE, it's not PvP. They'd change their tune if mobs had even half of the stuff players can do. The PvP replies there - yeah, I can take Willard into Ker'rat and willy nilly wheee pop folks (where I usually apologize, more surprised they popped than they were) and then there's the folks where I might as well be throwing cotton balls at them on a windy day. There's a lot of that - folks focusing on their awesome vapes of woefully undergeared/newish/casual folks and ignoring the folks that mock them for trying to have a pillow fight.
I replied recently (earlier today) to a thread in the Builds section about it - I think changes to Projectiles would be a huge endeavor on Cryptic's part, and I just can't see them doing anything about it soon.
all your doing by posting a thread like that in that section is illisting the opinions of people that tend to not be able to use their ship to 10% of its potential, and that only pve were torps are actually pretty good, beter then BO infact. and thats the problem, if they are fine in pve whats there to change

I guess you guys are right.
But what if they changed things so that the NPC's got the same shield healing, resists, and TT that players get?
But what if they changed things so that the NPC's got the same shield healing, resists, and TT that players get?
Would never - never - never ever - no chance in Hell - ever happen...
...all of the TRIBBLE that's been added is so the extremely casual player can hit up an instance and have a blast. They want the fun factor for everybody, so they've lowered the bar and definition of a casual player over and over.
It's not just a PvP complaint that PvE is usually so /facepalm, there are PvE folks that despise it as well. But there's no denying that continuously lowering the bar has made the game more accessible and thus increased revenue for Cryptic.
They're not going to make things harder. Unfortunately, that's just going to put things at odds more and more for PvP. Have to wonder if somewhere down the road they're not just going to turn PvP into some form of controlled monster play - where players run prefab ships and go at it.
Meh...back to flying around in circles and hitting my spacebar at the "Elite" Crystalline Entity.
Well since I use Trans T'Varo torp boat with a Reman Sci captain - and almost always TS3 and TS2 which are guaranteed hit(another interesting quirk) should I be using 3x CritH or 3x CritD??

I'd ask Thissler that one...run it through that formula with it likely depending on what your current CrtD/CrtH are, etc, etc, etc.
...lol, I'm going to smoke - I'm getting scatterbrained here carrying on the same discussion in multiple threads while carrying on multiple discussions in those multiple threads...
...but yeah, I quoted Thissler in the other thread.
I am still laying down the PAIN with what I got - as I pounded the KDF players in a cap n hold tonight - it was a super fun match
I just want to lay down even more PAIN to players hulls
Tala's 1.8 million in damage is not enough!!:P
26 kill count and 1 friggin blew myself up with my own mega torp - I swear that is the last time I fire off that garbage ball as long as the aoe is 2.5km - that is ridiculous!!
So what do you think will bring the most hull damage from TS3 or TS2 given a guaranteed hit - 3xcritH or 3xCritD or 3xdmg?
Given
18% current crit chance and 81% crit severity on my reman sci toons?
on any low rate of fire, high effect attack, id want crtD, so when it does hit effectively, thats the last hit you need on your target. high rate of fire is proboly best with crtH
I thought you were the games #1 inflictor of PAIN to players!?!:P
Nope. I don't offer advice. Try not to share opinions on what's OP/UP. Always try to pass such recommendations off to other folks that have far more experience, far more ability, etc, etc, etc.
Basically, I suck - so it would be very bad of me to offer any advice on things. Helping with some basic understandings of how things work, spreadsheet warrior stuff - basic testing - sure, I can try to do that stuff...about all I can do.
Was just in a CnH, it was recommended that I queue cause all I was doing was whining in OPvP about grinding my two Fleets (it was pretty damn annoying, I noticed how much I was whining about it)...and yeah, my Sci T'varo? 447k Damage and 644k Healing or so...where the majority of it was actually healing the other guy on the team. Didn't get any kills - lagged once and couldn't help keep the guy alive so he died once while I was there (I came in late).
Think most of my damage was against pets, mines, and other targetables. I was bored at one point and dropped Dark Poo on a cluster of Cloaked Mines. I was surprised that I didn't get shot at more - I think outside of a few torp spreads that saw me, that was pretty much it. Even with getting decloaked all the time by all the Grav Wells...folks still didn't really shoot at me. So I didn't really shoot anything at anybody unless they were shooting at the guy I was healing.
You've seen me in Ker'rat - it's extremely rare anybody complains about me popping them. Nobody fears Willard...lol, "Never fear, Willard's here." Yep, never fear when Willard's there.
well, virus's math posts inflict pain to my brain sometimes, and if you hold me responsible for the AtB Renascence i guess you could say that
Hey, share some of the credit! I had the bloody thing ever since A2B got decoupled from EP. And DEMarion before that thanks to needing something to make the Lance bitchslap my power less! :P
"Last Engage! Magical Girl Origami-san" is in print! Now with three times more rainbows.

the day it was decoupled i was testing the effects of 2 copies of AtB on my brand new vet ship that released the same day. i started posting about it soon after in the previous pvp help thread run by mav.
article? umm well a few of my advanced tactics posts might count as an article

CritD, DMG, CritH, in that order for that scenario.
In fact if that's what your toon is running exclusive of wep mods, you should only have ACC or CritD on your weapons. Any CritH or DMG (especially on energy at that point) is sort of not so very good.
Kinda poopy.
Cheers and stop shooting at me please.
EDIT: I do see that you put given a 100% hit chance, just putting it out there going forward that if you were forever going to rely on tractors or plasma or whatever to rob defense, go critd. But otherwise yes, acc is still important. Especially vs rommies as u can't rob their passive defense.

newromulan, being in a torp boat relying on torp spread will always have a 100% hit rate on account of Torp Spread conferring a 100% hit rate to torpedoes when used.
If you feel Keel'el's effect is well designed, please, for your own safety, be very careful around shallow pools of water.

Still a good night out for the Fed side 5/6 players having over 1 million damage is unusual

Care to do a piece for my magazine. God I feel like a reporter farming for a story LOL
I definitely think Drunk should drop out a piece for your magazine. Everybody agree? Let's not harass Drunk, but let's harass him!

Also, no call for being an TRIBBLE over a simple mistake.
