I'd hate to have to sell my Mk XII purples to a vendor.Normaly in normal games (as in games where the goal is to have fun not reputation systems) when some new shets are added you only have to upgrade your old stuffs to the new version.Since STO is made to be insulting for those who spend money you always have to buy new stuffs ...no upgrade option.

My guess was, at least energy type consoles with the usual fleet extra bonus (Mk13ish), PLUS some tactical skill modifiers (targeting systems, weps training and such). Can't wait to see if I won a pizza.

No screenies available yet because the tribble holding projects run at normal speed. In a few days one of the fleets should be able to see the consoles inside the holding.
Well finally the tyranny of doucebags who decided that tac consoles should be worth exorbitant amounts may be over and it will be glorious. I'm glad this is happening as the only people who are harmed by it are the aforementioned douchebags.
Well guess its back to the old grind cause if its just weapon type then I have no interest in them whatsoever as even 8% crit sev can't make me use a console that NOONE uses for a reason.

1117.1 Damage, 1675.65 CRIT! Damage
Same Dude w/4x of those UR Mk XII +25.5% Dmg/+8% CrtD
1072.1 Damage, 1951.222 CRIT! Damage
-45 Damage, +275.572 CRIT! Damage

You also have to remember not everyone wastes their ec on mk XII v.rare tactical consoles. For me I stick with mk XI rare or v.rare if they drop when running starbase 24 or gorn minefield etc. for me those will be a huge boost, especially to my rommy who has silly levels of CrtH.

I am totally going to load out a Fleet Excel with 8 beams - each one a different color
plasma/anti/polaron/phaser
disruptor/tetryon/blue phaser/spiral wave
put Marion in there + nadion + weapons command + 2x Aux 2 bat
I should be able to keep this light show going FULL time!! It will be like a disco ball in space!!:D
how clueless can they be, generic beam, cannon and knetic consoles only? this has to be a joke, those are garbage. the sci consoles were good, the eng consoles are amazing, and the tac consoles trash? what the hell are they thinking?
the fleet tac consoels should have been specific energy or torp type tac consoles, that came with ether a +all knetic or +all energy. torps plus energy weapons should not be a rainbow, an that would have helped make that not the case. oh whatever, torps arent even usable anymore anyway, and even unbuffed they do plenty of damage. i would take a damage nerf to them along with a usefulness against shields buff.
seeing as they dont even get how badly torps suck, these tac consoles should have been the specific energy or knetic types + ether targeting/attack patterns/maneuvers/or stealth

They are consistently bi-polar in their design.
They are basically afraid to give us MK XII consoles, which are a total of 2% improvement or so vs. MK XI purples but they give us things like AMP which is massively more powerful.
They continually tell us they are trying to tone down the extremes and then they add consoles that lower standard (pressure) damage but increases burst (by a moderate amount, since slotting 5x "generic" fleets means you lose an entire Tac console which is a boost to your base).
They told us there is too much power available in the system, they give us Elite Fleet Warp Cores.

And they're not "trash" - they're going to perform much better than XI purple energy-specific consoles if you've got lots of CrtH. Rommies will love them for sure.
Not sure about compared to XII purples as I can't be bothered to do any maths on it, I'll let others do it - but I get the feeling they're going to be pretty close to par once CrtH gets over x% (which will be doable with roms)

all engineers - all loaded with 8 different beam colors
Marion+DEM+batt+Nadion+ Cruiser command+FAW+3 copies each of inspirational leader traits
all in a nice circle with TSS from 1 to the next and 8x5 = 40 rainbow beams firing full time!!
