Can we get the old loading screen back?

Legacy of Romulus is old news, and the old starfleet logo loading screen was really nice looking, so when's it coming back?

Or is this gonna be the new thing now, having the loading screen theme related to the major updates?

    It'll probably be changed when Season 8 drops to reflect Season 8.

    That said, I wouldn't change it to the Starfleet logo. Then you'd only get people complaining that the KDF logo isn't on the loading screen.

    much as I love the new load screen. I am with the OP. Time to go back to the old one. Honestly, I don't even remember what the old one looked like

    I liked it a lot. It's one nice image that represents all of star trek, klingons and romulans included.

    The game isn't all about romulus. It's not Star Trek Online: Legacy of Romulus, but that's what that screen is telling me.

    That's how expansions usually works in MMO's. This game is currenty 'Star Trek Online: Legacy of Romulus', representing its current state of 'update'. That's why you see the STO:LoR logo in all new material from the season 8, although is not related to that expansion. I guess it only will change when other expansion is released...

    with every Xpack to wow the log on screen changes to fit that xpack same is being done here btw Delta shield represent feds more then all of star trek

    Yeah, it makes sense, and other games do it too, but... STO never did it for any other update before LOR...

    STO never had an expansion before LoR...

    Check the official season 8 artworks here, season 8 is still new STO:LOR content, or at least, content released under its tag (although ingame story therms it may not be related...) However, in game therms, Romulans has a lot to do with the Delta Quadrant incursions, since we are suposed to travel there through the Iconian gate in their new romulan homeworld. Not saying they can't bring us a new logo, just explaining why is likely to remain with this till the next expansion (2014?)


    PD: We'll get lost in the delta quadrant just to do our dailiy reputation grind, then back to the ESD... My bet it that we'll end obtaining the new marks in the queues, not in the new adventure zone itself, that probably will be as non rewarding for leveling the new reputation as New Romulus was...

    I could see them putting teasers for S8 or the new FE on the loading screen. Or perhaps some simple cinimatics like that one old ESD loading screen we had the Galaxy fly by.

    Or an option to just have a blank screen, us serious gamers, especially us crashing in sector space since LoR, would rather have stuff loading faster

    You know... I like the Idea of Season specific Loading Screens... as much as I liked the Season specifice Forum Headers, I really miss those!

    The LoR load screen was something I commented on when I gave my closed beta feedback on the expansion. I didn't warm to it at all from the outset. To me it was like saying STO was all about Romulans, giving new players a misinterpretation of Star Trek Online. A more generic load screen representing the entire game should be used.

    A good example would have faction ships or beings so everything in the game is represented equally.

    Well, till 2 days ago the loading screen was all about feds to newcommers. Delta emblem, only feds to start with... They want to point our and remark that we have rommies now!


    And... I think Im forgetting another faction... Mmmm no that was my imagination.

    2 days ago? Don't understand what you mean. The LoR load screen has been used since the launch of the expansion.
