So, taking a walk around and Qo'noS and the Devs seemed to have updated worf's appearance, I couldn't help to notice the new hair style as well... any chance of these cosmetic updates hitting the rest of the klingons?

They might even get more than the same two uniforms!
Klingons were supposed to have shorter lives than Humans. At this point in time, far after TNG-era, Worf would indeed be an older Klingon.
Kor was an older Klingon... at about 150. In the 24-25th centuries, Klingons and Humans alike have much longer life spans than we do now. Worf may be a grandfather (D'Vak, the Admiral in command of Task Force Omega and the U.S.S. Houston, is implied to be the "D'Vak, son of Alexander Rozhenko" mentioned in the Road to 2409), but he's not old.
I would love to have he old ingame worfs hair option.
As to klingons lifespan, it is slightly in excess of 150 years with no apreciatable loss of strength. Klingons due mature faster than humans though with a 8 year child being equal to a 16 year old human child.

As has been stated, The Natural lifespan of a Klingon is greater then a Human, not shorter. Though keep in mind humans also have longer lifespans then they do in present day.
The thing to remember is that Klingons, by nature of their culture and lifestyle, tend to rarely live out there natural lives. More often then not, dying in battle.
So, Worf joined the Hair Club for Klingons, and he's not just a client, he's the Emperor of the Hair Club!
He was just a client before he challenged the former Hair Emperor and subsequently strangled him with his own braid. Many songs will be sung of that glorious battle...
Star Trek: Online - Now with 100% more dinosaurs!!
Just wait until Gowron ends up in a time travel mission/flashback and we get to see his massive mane of hair. He'll be a true Emperor of the Hair Club...
And he'll have crazy eyes!
Now that I think about it, this game needs more Gowron!

Indeed. This is true of many warrior cultures. The average life expectancy is shorter because the youthful die young in glorious battle. Kor in "Once more unto the Breech" (DS9) even warned to the young members of the Rottarren crew who were mocking him "Savor the fruit of life, my young friends. It has a sweet taste when it's fresh from the vine. But don't live too long... The taste turns bitter... after a time." Similarly, Douglas MacArthur said "Old Soldiers never die, they just fade away."

I think the problem behind the Klingon lifespan debate is actually a slightly different one: the old FASA materials claimed Klingons had a much shorter lifespan than humans.
60 being about the maximum on average and the human-klingon "fusions" (FASA's explanation for the forehead problem) getting a few more years, so it was based on genetics and not combat attrition.
And since people don't tend to check where certain information comes from they just grab stuff they found somewhere written by someone and run with it.
Well, Klingons do not have an average longer life span than Humans... average is calculated not by the biological lifespan capacities, but rather how long they actually live. Since most die in combat, that reduces their lifespan calculations.
Worf is old because he rarely, if ever loses in physical combat. He's also a King maker. He killed Duras, paving the way for Gowron, then killed Gowron some time later. He has killed many Klingons, Borg and Jem'Hadar in close quarter combat. Let him have his own special hair. He's a special man.
It is debated, but apparently he let Martok best him in combat. In fact, the only time (alternative timeline wise) that I've seen him killed in close quarter combat was when he was assassinated, by being stabbed, in the back on the council floors.

Since these materials are not canonical, and directly contradict what is observed in canonical material...
[Conspiracy]I'm thinking this means that cryptic are able to use his likeness now, perhaps paving the way for possible voice work?[/Conspiracy]
They were always able to use his likeness as Worf, due to his appearance being heavily modified by the prosthetic forehead.
That said, Cryptic's been trying to figure out how to bring in more TNG stars for voice overs, and Michael Dorn isn't a stranger to video game voice acting work...

And yes, the new Worf is great... it's recognizably him now.
Not sure if Cryptic will be happy i'm disclosing this or not.... buuuuut
at the end of august i went to Dragoncon in atlanta. Micheal Dorn was there, and i got to talk to him. according to him, he's already working with Cryptic right now. he wouldnt go into more detail, but the only reason i can think of that cryptic would higher Micheal Dorn is to do voice work.
Soon my klingon comrades, we shall have some epic voice overs of our own to taunt the federation with!
sidenote: anyone else noticed that they're highering voice actors in order of security chief of the enterprise? first tasha, then worf.... probably just a coincidence.

The old hair reminds me of Doc Brown from Back to the Future. That definitely needs to be added to the tailor, if it isn't there already.

If Michael Dorn is coming aboard for some voice work, I can only hope that means alot of good things for the KDF. It may not necessarily mean KDF exclusive, but things to put the faction in a better spotlight. And with more attention, you know... more development. We'll see, but I know that's wishful thinking.
Lastly, I hope Cryptic makes better use of Michael Dorn than the devs of Fallout New Vegas did. Dorn's Super Mutant was a character originally from Fallout 2 and brought back for FONV, but the quest involvement with him was very minimal.

Here's an after shot. It's not my best, but it shows the new 'do. His old mugshot is still on the wiki for now.
Edit: Here's a front view image, and here's his face in the contact dialog.

Dude, LOTS of things need more Gowron.
Spring break? Yep
Presidential debates? Hell yeah.
Amish Mafia? Most definitely.
Gowron. Bringing the crazy eyes since 2367...

That was my first thought too. Why an update all of a sudden? Unless...

The doors, Mister Scott!
Yeah, the resemblance is inconceivable now. It really looks much better. Worf is Worf once again!
Much better. So when do we get them in the tailor?
