STO Auto Launcher crashes

Hey all,
Today I tried opening STO for the first time in a few days, and as I can tell from the website, there have been a few updates. So the launcher thing or whatever its called before you get to the actual launcher, did the usual thing, updated itself and what not. Then it dissapeared, and I got a crash report. I tried again, and the same thing happened. The launcher didn't even appear, I just immediately receive a crash report. I should mention, a year ago I had this same problem (actually I probably had it numerous times), and the only fix at that time was to download somebody else's .exe. I'm not sure if that's the case again, but any help would be greatly appreciated.
