Reputation needs to be Reworked

When grinding Rep you get the chance to get Earlier MK versions before you get the chance to get MKXII versions but currently if you take these lesser sets while levelling up then the Dilithium you spend is dead. I understand that this rewards players who hold out for the higher spec pieces but in the case of the Assimilated Borg Space Set the MKX components cost 14'000 dilithium and that is a lot of dilithium to just throw down the pan. So what I would propose is when you do the rep for the next level of Piece, either MKXI or MKXII then you are given the option to trade in your obsolete piece for a 72% refund (The number is just an example) that way people who hold out still have an incentive too as they will still get the items cheaper but people who go up through the levels are not completely robbed and in the case of the MKX Borg set will have paid just 4K dilithium to rent the set instead of wasting 14k.

I forgot to add something, once you have the top ground gear from a series then you very rarely use it. How many of us do Ground STF's when we have finished Omega Rep? This change would help finish ground reps lessening the expenditure for the lesser ground sets!

You mena instead of throwing it on my shuttle or a boff i can trade it in for a discount? Thats a good idea since I never use my shuttle anyway and my boffs dont care if its gear from the vendor.

sounds great, but..
the rep system is designed to be expensive..

if you could trade in lesser items for a discount.. it kind of defeats its purpose.
