Transporter pads and doors

When you step on a transporter pad you should not be touching your communicator to beam out. A nod might work.

If I just asked the transporter chief in a textbox to do why am I doing it myself - it makese no sense.

Automatic doors are too slow, you need to move the trigger point further away.
At the moment even if you walk you bump into the door.

Can't help but to feel I am on some damned episode with ship malfunctions.

    The Automatic doors work exactly like they do at my local supermarket. It's funny really. 3 or 4 seconds later and I can get in. Exactly the same with the Exchange on Qo'nos.

    THe teleporter transition effect is how they load stuff, i do not think it can be changed without changing it everywhere. Same reason why you teleport out of the ship bridge.
