sto.gamepedia states the tractor beam is buffed by flow capacitors for drain, graviton generators for hold, particle generators for kinetic damage, and subspace decompiler for extending the duration of tractor beam.
the in-game tooltip description says only particle generators and graviton generators buff the tractor beam?

Both are correct. The drain does not come into play unless you have a DOFF that gives tractor beams extra shield drain or the Assimilated Tractor Beam that drains energy though.
Thank you Hasuki, I was wondering if the tractor beam had any natural drain besides the standard kinetic and shield drain doff. I'm just running the standard tractor beam 2 atm. The in-game tooltip sort-of implies they are the only abilities that affect tractor beam, even though adding the shield drain doff changes the in-game description. No mention of subspace decompiler but I didn't have enough skill points for it anyway..

What i want to know is how the cloak disruption works, in the wiki it states that tractor beams and photonic shockwaves can disable cloak and i never see this happen. it is also supposedly able t stop thelaron pulses but no sign of that working either?

If a ship that is able to cloak is caught in a tractor beam it won't be able to cloak while it is still in the effective range of the beam (5KM) If a ship gets outside the range, the beam becomes ineffective and it can cloak again.
A photonic shockwave stops all currently used powers within a short range and stuns the target for a short time (as does charged particle burst) so it forces the vessel to decloak and put cloak on cooldown. Once the cooldown is up it will be able to cloak again.
Donatra and the IRW Valdore has it's own rules so sometimes these might not work on her, but on the majority of other things (including other players) they work perfectly well.
The Scimitars have perfect cloaks, so you can't disable them with Charged particle burst, Antiproton sweep, or simple tractor beams. I have seen extensive amount of Warp plasma knock off her cloak, but only for a minute or so.
But Photonic shockwave works greats on knocking off her Thalaron Pulse. I use that exclusively in KASE to prevent her from nailing my team mates. Everyone else runs away. I'm the idiot using Evasive Maneuvers to get CLOSER to her... :cool:
