I am making this thread solely for the purpose of introducing a Romulan Science Vessel as seen on the TNG episode "The Next Phase". On this episode the Enterprise encounters a distress call from a Romulan Science Vessel, apparently also leading to Ro's and Geordi's apparent death [Which wasn't the case].

So it got me to thinking. . Why didn't this vessel appear on the game for those who are playing as Romulan Science Officers? Apart from the Cstore ships which may have Science versions, this ship could have been one of the obtainable by level/rank as a Science vessel for Romulan Science Officers. Here I am thinking that the team of STO was doing their home work on Romulans from episodes and films

There's a screenshot of it in the "Massive" interview with Geko.

We don't know as what (the name of the image indicates it MIGHT just be a shuttle) but it's coming.
I agree that the ship should be used early on as another option in the early levels (in addition to retrofits), but we'll have to wait and see.
Also, as a side point, you don't have to be a science officer to command a science ship, and don't believe those people that say your ship must match your clad to be effective because that is far from true.
9 Episodes = 30+ episodes...?

It's pronounced "S.T.O." "Stow" sounds idiotic! lol
No. Your fun makes everyone else's fun wrong by default.
The Scout variant is supposedly 89m and has 2 decks, so it should be about 3 times the size of a Runabout. I always thought that the Science variant was supposed to be much bigger.
It would be nice to think that it's going to be more than a Sovereign Yacht or the DujHod Chariot, but I think that's the equivalents of the this ship, so it will probably be a Lieutenant grade shuttle, with 1 Ensign BOFF slot like they are. I hope I am wrong though, I want them to be much more.
Well, I'm pretty sure I know where you got that number from but while Ex-Astris has a lot of good info, that size makes no sense given the windows on this thing...those would be as big as the heads at Mount Rushmore.;)
While I can agree it's bigger than a shuttle, it's nowhere as big as a Bird of Prey (which it would be at that size).

No, that makes no sense.
The Science ship...there I can imagine such a size is plausible because there were over 70 Romulans still alive onboard after the explosion in "The Next Phase".
Yes, that's where I got my 'information' (he said in inverted commas).
The Scout I could well image is really only the size of a runabout, (and I would be more than happy with that) but I forgot about the crew number on the Science variant. Yes, that should be much bigger.
I guess we will have to wait and see, but however they implement them, I'm just really glad they are being added into the game.
It had an ion glide cloaking system that made it 100% invisible to EVERYTHING.
there were other things too but TBH i can't remember them XD

While it sounds interesting, the question is how much Cryptic can do with a ship nobody has an actual image of. Same is true for the Ivarix class from "Serpents Among the Ruins" or the Klingon Vakk class from "The Art of the Impossible".
There's not much besides a name to go along with the ship.;)
I'm afraid of that as well.
I think it would be a missed opportunity if they don't make them two seperate ships.
In particular since there are so few science-oriented ships available to to Romulans right now.
When you right click the images to save them, one defaults to the name shuttlejarok and the other shuttletalon. So I think you are right.
It doesn't stop them releasing a larger version of the Science variant though. You know... just saying... in case any devs are reading this.
