Quality of Life requests

* Cooldowns should count down anywhere you are. If you are on ground, space cooldowns should still count down and vice versa.
* All DOFF missions which currently are 24/48/72 hours in duration should be 20, 40 and 60 hours respectively.
* Increase amount of consumables/commodities bought from the NPC vendors and increase their stack count.
* Add an option to clear all hotbars for abilities, or an option to prevent population of hotbars at random when new items, boffs or abilities are slotted.
* Mission reward loot should go straight to inventory as standard for all missions.
** Items dropping from NPCs during team missions should automatically be picked up. It is awkward that loot drops when other team members kill something at the other end of the map due to the default setting of Round Robin.
* Weekly Dilithium refinement cap instead of daily.
* Gold Auto-Refinment should automatically refine Dilithium at 00:00 UTC when the new cycle begins, not the previous day as it currently functions with.
* Make all cutscenes manually skippable and add an option to disable them permanently in Settings.
* Account wide Energy Credits
* Account Bound/wide Lobi crystals
* Account wide Refined Dilithium
* Account wide Reputation Marks
* Change Skill Point Respec and Reputation Respec to cost Unrefined Dilithium instead of Zen. This is too central an aspect of the game to be monetized, it hinders customization and variety.
* Make existing crafting Rep/Unreplicatable materials cost Unrefined Dil instead of Refined.
* Give us Active Space/Ground DOFF presets tied to ships, so that DOFFs automatically change when we change active ship. Preset should also prevent said DOFFs from showing up in selection for DOFF missions.
* Change mission backfilling, make it optional for improved reward as incentive for doing it. It's frustrating joining a mission already in progress, especially one which rewards by active participation.
* Alpha sort Replicate menu.
* Give us manually set categories in the BOFF menu, so we can manually sort BOFFs under our own designated headding, such as grouping them per ship, or other category nametag.

    I'm most concerned about the game's determination to fill my ability bar slots come hell or high water, but yeah.

    Not sure exactly what you mean here. Where does mission reward loot go now?

    I guess I'm kind of agnostic on these ones.
    * Make all cutscenes manually skippable and add an option to disable them permanently in Settings.
    I don't think this is possible, especially if/when cutscenes are used to move NPCs around to certain locations. Also problematic for teamed content (though not impossible, as seen in Starbase Alerts).
    * Account Bound/wide Lobi crystals
    I'd like this a lot, and don't see a reason not to do it.
    * Account wide Energy Credits
    * Account wide Refined Dilithium
    * Account wide Reputation Marks
    On the other hand, as much as this might make our lives easier, these are meant to represent rewards and achievements earned by our characters for doing character-specific things, and are unlikely to be unbound.
    * Change Skill Point Respec and Reputation Respec to cost Unrefined Dilithium instead of Zen. This is too central an aspect of the game to be monetized, it hinders customization and variety.
    I don't think respecs are meant to be done at the drop of a hat...
    * Make existing crafting Rep/Unreplicatable materials cost Unrefined Dil instead of Refined.
    I don't think we'll see unrefined dilithium used for anything any time soon. Kind of defeats the purpose of the refining process.
    * Give us Active Space/Ground DOFF presets tied to ships, so that DOFFs automatically change when we change active ship. Preset should also prevent said DOFFs from showing up in selection for DOFF missions.
    That would be pretty handy.

    Not sure what you mean. Queued missions?

    I'm guessing the OP means in situations where there's a loot drop at the conclusion of a teamed mission. This is in the case of STFs and missions like Crystalline Catastrophe that drop a loot bag requiring you to go claim it, instead of just automatically going into your inventory or overload bag.

    I don't know anyone who considers it optional to collect their due reward for completing such missions, so having it skip the whole loot bag collection thing and go straight to those inventories would be a nice thing. Especially in the case where a pop-up dialog happens right after an enemy is destroyed which has a warp out button that can be accidentally clicked if the person is still too busy fighting to pick up their loot.

    This has happened to me in the aforementioned Crystalline Entity, trying to quickly dismiss the window and get it out of my targeting caused me to warp away without my waiting mark crate. My fault, but it was an unnecessary situation to begin with.

    While these are good ideas, Cryptic will never do it. There is too much loss of profit with these ideas. They only see us as dollar signs, not fans.

    Please don't be melodramatic. :) It isn't constructive.

    While some of them surely may not happen for technical or redundancy reasons, some can surely see the light of day. They've already done a number of things between launch and now for QoL improvement that they didn't need to do, but thought would be nice. The devs play this game after all. More than many of us. They have to. It's their job*.

    Like my example above with the loot bags, I'd like to see that happen and our loot go straight to inventory after STFs and team runs, but I think that'll require some retooling of how their multiple choice reward system behaves, which might not be worth the time if the only bonus is it has impatient people like me avoid missing clicking on a loot drop. In the end it involves what's worth the time to develop versus what its impact will be overall.

    That doesn't mean many of these have a shot at being done soon though, and just a moment's thought gives a few difficulties with some ideas:
    * I think the common reason for no account-wide Lobi is that there'll be some who repeatedly make a new character to gain the free 5 Lobi one-off from it, nuke the character and repeat again. Stupid waste of time, I know, but you'd be surprised what bored people will do over the course over months if it gets them out of paying zen.
    * Account-wide marks might as well all count to one character, just with alts doing the work for it. It'd bypass their cooldowns for missions that award them due to being able to just juggle them incessantly without, technically, slowing a person down with the cooldowns (if they didn't care about pacing individual characters, they wouldn't have the cooldowns in the first place).
    *Account-wide ECr already exists with the account bank, it's just an extra step of deposit/withdrawal, so that'd be redundant.

    I do not know 100% if these are Cryptic's considerations or not, but just being a Devil's Advocate and thinking of how these things can be exploited to harm some business model or timing/balance mechanic of theirs, these thoughts come to mind rather easily. I'd still like to see the more practical ones considered and/or addressed. DOff presets per ship and organizable BOff placement would be quite nice.



    *Even if from my own background as a QA lead I know not every hour is filled with on-task work...but that's a different story...
