Ok this can be very annoying at point in times where in ISE for instance When you blow all the small gens or two of them the spheres that come out of high warp target that one player.This gets very annoying.
And it seems that the high damage dealing plasma fire is back on ISE this needs fixed and a lot of things need fixed as well.
Way wont cryptic fix these bugs they are there.
Borg Target specific players one for instance like me.This is very frustrating a lot of times.When every body else in team barely get's hit.And players with the highest DPS all ways seem to get Targeted.
Another spot is like the Cubes they are relent less in there attacks a lot of times especially in CSE.
I am not saying to change any thing here i am saying that CSE and ISE need to be reworked badly.The plasma Fire on ISE is very high damage.Some times and the point here is that the hazard emitters when spheres and cubes keep shooting plasma fire at you like every two seconds.
I am not saying to change a whole lot here there are a few bugs that need fixed.And these are played regularly bye a lot of people.
And another bug is the PVE Q Bug is back with CSE and ISE and needs fixed people are getting booted while being in space.When entering the PVE missions.

This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.
Another point is that, in the absense of threat generation (i.e. new ships warping in), most of the time enemies just pile on the closest target. Don't be that target - if you have to be on that closest generator, approach it from the outside away from the gate.
It could be the increasing number of players running -threat consoles too, it's always fun for me in my escort when I learn that the big cruiser a few km away has stacked up on -th consoles leaving me to die while it uses engineering team to heal up its 99% hull to 100%. Fun times... fun times.

Hazard emitters need to have a shorter timer for the people like me that have 90% of the argo.Some kinda special ability that will make them shorter.And i am not talking about Doffs.
And i am not saying i can not survive the on slaughter which i can 85% of the time but it seems people die a lot faster when the spheres and cubes are hitting you with high damage plasma fire with each shot and no body is healing you.
And yes i do have healing ability's.

I've noticed Ive got a bit more aggro recently, possibly because I seem to hit on my best build to date, I found it hilarious bursting out of a pack of spheres on ISE after popping all my dmg buffs and destroying three cubes in the process. Once in a hundred opportunity and got through it with 5% health left.
Still with the new aggro, I feel the need to adapt to it so am considering taking another sci boff on and training them in dual hazard emitters. Basically my thinking is adapt to the Borg or be assimilated.
Innovation is key.
For the record while annoying sometimes when Pugging with lazy/selfish teammates, I find the immersion to boosted and the feeling that if the borg are attacking me because of my damage output, I must be doing something right

While I don't recall them directly telling us the formula, they have indirectly told us how it works when they were talking about the [+Th] and [-Th] consoles. Namely that damage = threat, and the threat modifiers (including from Threat Control) modify how much each point of damage is worth.
So by default if you deal 1000 points of damage, you get 1000 points of threat.
If you have +20% threat, then you'd get 1200 points instead. If you have -20% threat, you'd get 800 points instead. This means if you deal 2000 damage at -20% threat, and the tank only deals 1000 damage at +20% threat, you would still be targeted (1600 vs 1200).
That's why I always point out that a tank only needs to be as tough as necessary to survive, no more. The rest of their resources need to be dedicated to dealing damage.
This skills should only work in STfs be cause of the bug it self and the devs dont want to fix the plasma fire issue.

Neutronium consoles give you kinetic resistance so they will do nothing for the plasma burn, maybe you should try some consoles that give plasma resist.

How much hull do you have? Personally I mainly fly a fleet excelsior and in it I rarely bother to remove the plasma dot as it doesnt hurt me much and seems a waste of a he.

The only problem that I have with Borg Spheres is that they scatter like Roaches whenever I target them and run from me like their lives depended on it.
I'm getting frustrated with having to run the Spheres down and I'm also frustrated with how the Borg Raptors seem to sucker shot you from out of nowhere but at least they stand their ground and fight when you fire back :P
I've recently hit on a better setup for my MVAE, and since I've done so, I've found myself taking more DPS. My advice: keep your evasive maneuvers and attack parttern omega ready, and be prepared to hit quick and run when you come under fire.
If you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen. That doesn't mean just give up; but get out of range, heal up, and get back at it. Play cat and mouse with those spheres, spike the damage, then find somewhere to regroup.
Do you guys keep track of how many plasma fire stacks you have? Sometimes I get about 700-1000 damage per second because I have like 5-6 stacks of the plasma fire debuff from borg plasma torpedoes...which happens often because the spheres just looove me. :P

The one annoying thing about it is that combined with EmptE the spheres love to go all over the place trying to take me or another player down, which in turn spreads them out and get's them out of range of the team.
But even this is a blessing in disguise, makes my own tank cruiser with x2 tractors and warp plasma + blue Matter-Antimatter Specialist doff with the immobilise bonus far more useful in STF's than she used to be

I know because I always position myself so I am right in their face;
I want them to shoot me so I can feedback pulse the transformer and drop tractor mines on them. I am sick and tired of chasing them around.
But yeah you have plenty of options to chose from if you are catching too much heat, PVE is very forgiving and shouldn't be giving you any problems.
