So I was looking at some purple technicians and was surprised to see that the bonus reduction to Bridge Officer power timing is 10%. So 3 of these guys reduce 10% 3 times when aux to bat is used?
I don't use A2B builds right now but am looking at them. My impression was that every cool down could be reduced to the globals, but is 30% really enough?
One A2B, even with 3 Technicians usually is not enough. The main thing about an A2B build is that a big majority of people use them, fly a ship that can slot 2 of them.
Meaning that up to 50% of the time you will be running with very low aux power, but on the other end of the spectrum, each time you click A2B, you can pretty much guarantee to keep all other powers at global cooldown.
Just be aware that you should try and keep as few powers as possible with shared cooldowns that you can't get rid of. Like global CDs between Eng/Tac/sci team, the various EPTX skills, etc.
That said, not all ships can run A2B effectively, but many can:
Most Romulan ships
Pretty much all Fed cruisers and KDF battlecruisers
The 1000-day ship
Some lockbox ships.
It really depends on the ship you are looking at. A2B can be powerful, but you have to build wholly around it, and it does come with drawbacks.
I remain empathetic to the concerns of my community, but do me a favor and lay off the god damn name calling and petty remarks. It will get you nowhere.
I must admit, respect points to Trendy for laying down the law like that.
It takes your sci powers off-line for a while sometimes, I haven't figured out when, I read about it but was too lazy to get into it.
The main thing I do is pop grav well and everything else and once grav goes down I reload everything with 300 % reduced time on everything.
So it doesn't really matter that much that sci is down while grav is loading anyway...
Other times I am in a dps ship where I don't depend on healing - one ship I don't even have any shield heals and so the sci abilities can go off-line all the way just massive reload spamming your tactical abilities.
It's also great because the purple doffs can be farmed out in b'tran for free.

I suggest taking a look :-)
Ah thanks
Did not realize the cooldowns can be reduced multiple times
