In TNG S5 Ep23 Picard dint use super cool anti borg "weapon". But since our alternateive rality captains use more aggersive way i can assume that alternative rality Picard did use it. So there are now a lot of emty borg ships that cant wait for new owners. Lest say that thier new owners are terran empire who always has some irration desire to attack alternative realities. Lets say they attack our rality - like they usually do. So they attack as with thir borg ships and we win like we always do and take thir borg ships.
So can we now have some borg ships?

This is still the same reality where Picard didn't use this weapon.

Borg ships come from alternative rality like those attacks from terran empire event.
???? Absolutely not. Mirror is alternative reality. JJ trek is an alternate reality full of lensflare and teenagers dealing with issues.
Borgs are from our reality.
Anyway, if you can find the aft and fore of a borg sphere, you can fly it.
Borg technology itself has the capability and drive to assimilate all foreign bodies. The thought of some idiot boarding a borg vessel and trying to fly it is awful. You would never be safe inside your own ship.

So those of us with Adapted ships are never safe? XD
It is an interesting thought. But liberated Borg are quite safe. They were separated from the collective, then their organic halves were put in control over the remnants of Borg tech that could not be removed. Now, the Ships are different. They are all machine maintained by Nanites. The way i see it, it would always be an extention of the collective in current form. The only way so far to get around it is to reverse engineer those suckers entirely as the tal-shiar and Omega have. But i think what our man here was saying is he wants entire borg ships as they are. I will admit it is an interesting idea. But still... Wheres the bridge?
All of my Lib Borg characters are mirror universe borg, and Fly mirror universe ships with the borg sets, and I am quite happy with that - though I do wish they would stick a mirror D'D in there for me.
While I would not mind having a Borg Probe as a Non-combat pet, playable Borg ships should not exist. Although, if Cryptic created Borgified versions of KDF and Starfleet ships, then I would happily pilot them. Of course, these ships would not be the same as Adapted ships where the Tal Shiar modified their ships with Borg technology. These would be ship that are modified by the Borg. Starfleet and the KDF stole them back from the Borg. Could make a mission out of it so we get a new ship after we complete it or throw it into a lockbox. Starfleet and the KDF would not create adapted ships, but they would utilize borgified ships as long as all the nasty surprises were removed.
there probs will bring out a playable Borg race but it will be them freed ones from TNG or Voy i will play them as there set a really high standard for new story's with legacy but i think its time to move the timberline forward because being stuck in a temporal loop for more then 6 months gives me headache

Would be unlikely imo.
Why would they give everyone access to a race that has always been LTS exclusive?
For me a Lib. Borg playable char was one of many reasons I got my LTS in the first place.
Flying Borg ships doesn't really make sence to me, since the way they operate is that the crew (drones) are connected to the ship, the cube is effectivly a mechanical extension of the collective. To fly a Borg ship you would need a crew to connect to the ship, in effect creating a local collective, which seems pretty dangerous to me.
The Romulan adapted ships are pretty much just a more extreme example of the work that was done to Season 4 of Voyager in Scorpian where it was modified with borg technology (like the Borg sets from STF's). It's one thing to incorporate technology from another ship, its quite another to crew a ship where the interface for controlling it is to actual become part of the ship!
So yeah, I'm not really for it, it feels wierd as it is that so many ships have Borg attachments protruding from them, let alone having captains in the game flying Borg ships, that would be as crazy as Starfleet captains flying Cardassian, Breen, Dominian, Ferengi ships and the like (bah, too late!). Lets see what the next lockboxes bring I suppose, lol

all things are possible and i have seen 1 interview a few months back were a dev says the same thing. when there were asking him players Questions dont ask me which interview i cant remember think ive seen all them over last 6 months

Well, I'm going to ask you anyway.
What interview? I find it very hard to believe they will so easily give away LTS perks to the free to play masses.
Adding some Borg tech to a ship is a whole lot different than actually flying a Borg ship.
I forgot the name of the mission...Assimilation was it? The one where you used to be awarded the Borg console and where they assimilate a Undine. As you try to go through doors and search for the right node to transport you to the right area you see plenty of hazards.
There are areas of the ship that are hazardous to go to, not to mention things like Borg ships are built to regenerate themselves which makes them more versatile. You really think a non Borg crew is going to be able to keep it near the efficiency of what a Borg crew would?
Allow me to play devil's advocate for a moment. In the voyager episode from Unamatrix Zero we have seen borg ships piloted by liberated borg so there is ground for usage of borg vessels by non-borg.
Having said that, i dread the idea that players could fly in a commandeered Sphere or Cube.
A probe is within the realm of possibilities, but a probe has roughly the capacity of an Intrepid class and more capable designs are available for all factions.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

Yes but if I recall the drones weren't exactly liberated, so they were doing their purpose.

True, in an interview earlier this year mr.Stahl said that there might be Borg ships availible later this year, maybe around the summer. Tal'Shiar Lockbox. There, the Borg ships they had in mind.

one can only hope .
Im all for more factions in the game , but the borg should never be one of them
its the borg for gods sake
liberated ones should only ever be LTS , otherwise what would the point of LTS be
If you have ever played legacy then you know how TRIBBLE borg ships are to fly. Plus lets keep enemies ships enemy ships and let them keep them unique instead of having every bad guys ships as playable as thats just gona ruin the game in the long run i feel.
This just takes the 'I want to be uber' mindset to silly levels. Sorry if I offend anyone, but it's just how I feel about the desire for playable Borg ships. If it's in the context of a Borg faction, then fine, that would actually make some sense... but a Federation Borg Cube.... I really don't know what to say to express just how silly that sounds to me. Be like everyone running around in Death Stars in a Star Wars game. Silly right?
No matter how it is worded on the forums, or elsewhere, with talk of captured probes or spheres, or whatever, I am fairly confident, if we're honest with ourselves here, that the 'wouldn't it be cool if...' idea flying a Borg ship really only ever involved a cube, and flying a Borg cube around Earth, Qo'noS or New Romulus would make an even bigger mockery of the universe in which the game is set than all the lock box ships put together.
While I appreciate that it would have required far far more resources to implement, as far as I'm concerned, all the lock box ships from non-playable factions should have been implemented either simply as special faction specific experimental ships (a la Tal Shiar Adapted) or as Mirror Universe ships. Of course the stats and abilities are what make it good/bad/ fun/not fun, but a ship model is more than just a container for these things, it's the difference between staying faithful to the IP and kind of not. We could have had that Typhoon class (or whatever that big ship in Gamma Orionis is called) instead of the Recluse, for example. Same stats, same abilities, basically the same ship, just different graphics.
If people are so interested in flying a Jem bug or JHEC, a Recluse, or whatever else, then those factions should be created for such a market, which obviously exists, hence the vast number of threads similar to this one.
If the game hadn't gone, or needed (did it?) to go F2P, then perhaps things might have panned out this way but whatever, they didn't.
I believe the game should be balanced, but giving everyone access to exactly the same stuff makes having factions rather pointless (and uninteresting?) and being able to fly around in the big bad guy's ship falls into this category.
All this could lead me to go on about how if the factions were more unique, KDF could be made more appealing for all players, not just Klingon fans, and about how the 'uniqueness' of the Romulan stuff is counteracted by both Blue and Red essentially having access to all of it, how, if this is the way we're going, I would like my sci captain to have access to a doff that had a chance to apply the best parts of the effects of attack pattern alpha on the use of beams to go with the one I have for cannons that can remove all buffs from target.... but all that is for another thread.
Do we really want a game where there is no notable difference between a Klingon Sci in a Borg Cube and a Fed Tac in a Monbosh Battlecruiser? I don't.
"So my fun is wrong?"
No. Your fun makes everyone else's fun wrong by default.

Honestly I'm unsure Picards plan to use Hugh to destroy the borg threat once and for all would even had worked. Seems to me if it was as simple as an engineer whipping up a math problem in a day that the borg would have been wiped out long ago by one of the thousands of different space faring species that have encountered the borg over the centuries. More than likely the borg have developed a contingency plan for dealing with unsolvable math problems. It was a nice gesture to not use it though.

I have no doubt that Cryptic will come up with Federation, KDF and more Romulan type versions down the line.
