Just a thought but wouldn't it be good if that you bought the 3 ship bundle (any of them) you got a extra consule this would be a combination of the others in the bundle.
It would be an incentive to buy the more expensive bundle (this game is a business) instead of just a single ship.
Just a thought.....l

Not only do you get 3 ships for the price of 2, you also get the console set bonus as well as extra incentive.
now the consoles usually give fairly powerful abilities. if you want all 3 you have to slot 3 consoles. if they gave us one big console that did all 3 in one then that would make them even more powerful than they already are.

So more people buy these bundles, the devs get more money and maybe hire a new bug fixer. 90% of this game is played PVE for a MMO it's the most single player game I've played. So the npc dieing quickly to easy turn up the difficulty.

I had the same thought as the OP, you buy a bundle and get 3 consoles. So now your ship kinda feels like you only have 7 console slots to play with.
I'd love to see where ships with special consoles have that "special" console slots. But those extra slots will only take the 3 specials from that ship.
So for example... My Oddy would have it's 10 console slots and 3 more console slots that would only accept the Work-bees, Aquarius & Chevron Separation consoles.
Sci Oddy...

If I wanted some other ship's special console on my Oddy, it would have to go in the normal slots because it's not of my ship.
This would really help some ships, like the Regent and Nebula, who have crappy or very specialized use consoles that no one wastes a slot on.

Not only do you get 3 ships for the price of 2, I just got 3 for the price of 1.5 on the sale. Also, the Odyssey and the Bortasqu' have received stealth buffs and their console set now has bonuses for 2 consoles equiped as well.

I really hope you see how terribly unbalanced this idea is. You don't have to use all of the speical consoles that come with a 3-pack, you don't even have to use any of them. If you go for 2 or all of them, you get a set bonus that is unavailible to other ships that don't come in bundles. That's the tradeoff to having 7 or 8 console slots left afterwards. So it's a matter of choice/strategic decision of what the Captain thinks would work better on the said ship.
What you're saying here will make every ship that doesn't come in a bundle obsolete. Why would anyone fly anything other than a 3-pack ship if they come with 13 console slots and every other ship comes with 10?!?

I'd be fine if the bundle ships had 9 consoles + the 3 for the special consoles. Cryptic didn't mind making the special powers inherent in the ships until they realized they could split the powers into multiple chassis to charge more.
And face it, PvP is pretty much toast in STO, so the whole OP thing is somewhat moot. (NPCs don't whine about OP.) A plain old T5 escort can toast a Borg cube in 3-4 seconds while my Oddy takes considerably longer. I don't think freeing up 3 console slots on it will make it OP.

and how much more unbelievably easy would you like the PVE experience to be?
Lets take the Andorian Escort for example, if I could slot all of my normal escort consoles along with the 3 piece set I would be virtually indestructible, Elite spheres and cubes already melt as it is.
