Does anyone else find the impending inter-dimensional invasion of the Iconians compelling and incredibly well paced? Their Elachi servants and the Tal Shiar as harbingers to their invasion is just well written. I don't know bout you guys, but I enjoy it immensely. Thumbs up.
Also to be clear, an ancient and powerful race wanting to enslave the galaxy again is a very real and cohesive threat. Honestly I find enslavement a more compelling reason to fight than the Borg just wanting to erase my individuality. At least the Borg aren't malicious like the Iconians, just ruthlessly efficient. The drawn out story and behind the scenes conspiracy has made the Iconians truly menacing.
Anyway, like I was sayin', shrimp is the fruit of the sea. You can barbecue it, boil it, broil it, bake it, saute it. Dey's uh, shrimp-kabobs, shrimp creole, shrimp gumbo. Pan fried, deep fried, stir-fried. There's pineapple shrimp, lemon shrimp, coconut shrimp, pepper shrimp, shrimp soup, shrimp stew, shrimp salad, shrimp and potatoes, shrimp burger, shrimp sandwich. That- that's about it. - Bubba
I do enjoy it as its my favourite type of space story. an ancient and powerful enemy back for unknown reasons and the galaxy have to unite to defeat them. slaves races trying to divide and conquer. i love it.
my only issue is that its been done several times so the impact is lessened, most notable in babylon 5 and mass effect (both done brilliantly). I imagine the story has drawn inspiration from both but there are only so many ways to skin a cat and star trek has never really had this before.
I quite like how its taken years to progress and build up (our time) so it makes it feel like a slow build of a tv show.

I love the whole storyline STO has delivered but yes the new Romulan storyline trumps anything prior to it. I'd love to see some of the other races such as Breen, Borg and Undine fleshed out a little more but can't wait to see how the Tholians, Elachi, Tal Shiar, Iconians and Tau Dewans all tie together, cannot wait!

I hear that guys. I had only a Fed VA up until LoR released, now I'm working through KDF and a Rom the stories are intriguingly intertwined. The Romulan story is different I'll give it that. Love it. Big ole thumbs up to Denise Crosby's voicework in the mind tripping mission. Freaked me out a bit. The whole mission left me feeling uneasy and I appreciate that. Good writing!
I get it is a common trope, the ancient enemy and a galaxy uniting to fight, but it is indeed a good hook and when done right it can be wonderful. Especially when you have great source material like Trek. I get there are canon errors but I am honestly not too hung up about that. If it was god awful I'd be concerned, but all in all I truly am to a point where I really got nothing but props to this game and I feel like it is a closely guarded gem so few know about. The story is no slouch and I really thank the Devs for this.

Like what happened to Tovan's sister after she was rescued?
