Proposed Changes To EV Suits

I like EV Suits, i like that they were added and i like that they actually have a purpose and function ingame. What i don't like is the $7 price tag (costumes should only be $1 each for a single ful outfit, or $3 if there are enough variant options to it) i don't like that i can't see my face(i understand the reasoning but we know it's possible), I don't like the limited looks, and i don't like it taking up my armor slot when my elite fleet armor is better.

So i propose a few changes.

1) Add an EV slot like you did small craft. This would work the same where you would equip both, and it would automatically select it when you need it, or allow you to select it when you wanted. No more taking up inventory or Doff slots. This would also allow you to equip a suit with special stats, but still allow tailor customizations.

2) Tailor please. I, like many others, worked my TRIBBLE off getting the Maco armor before the repsystem. These things are clearly made to be environmental suits and i would like to use it as such. This option would work like fleet uniform or off duty uniforms (except the KDF would get them too) but it would designate a costume to be used when you're wearing your ev suit. It would also be nice to add the clear faceplate for those with normal heads (D'Tan has it so we know it works) as well as have the EV Suit options from enterprise, TOS, and a few others original ideas based on species as well as allowing us to mix and match parts.

3) Clear face plate option. Yeah, i know i mentioned this above, but it is a big deal to some, especially those who actually paid the absurd $7 for the First contact suit. Anyone who's played their way through and seen D'Tan in an EV Suit knows that while they're not perfect they still look awesome with the face visible... except when they turn the head far enough to clip.

4) Liberated borg should have the option to go without. It would add more value to the lifetime as well as allowing those who still look assimilated to go a little further. The borg have no problem going for a space walk without the suit, so if the Feds can be using a Thalaron doomsday device (now available in the C-Store) then the borg should be allowed to do this.

5)Foundry compatible. Much like small craft missions it would be nice to make foundry missions require EV Suits as well, this would make for some awesome possibilities.

For Omega, Honor, and MACO, they can add an extra unlock for the rep when upon completion, if you're equipped with any of these armors, you can activate it as a EV suit and the visual will match up with your current Omega armor.
Also, if needed for balance sake, make the Omega, Honor, and MACO EV addon be more clunky movement speed wise.

I agree, the Liberated Borg should have the option to go without EV.
Even more extreme is the add additional device slots or new devices that only Liberated Borgs can use as 'implants' with different buff or abilities for that character to use. So, they can add an EV implant for space, Hazard implant for Nukara, and so on.

Liberated Borg are not the same as fully assimilated Borg Drones, who can survive in harsh environments.

Though I do like the idea of a EVA Suit slot. Because it is a pain having to find a suit and switch in and out all the time.

I think that, if anything they should be like they are now, but once they're activated in space they should act accordingly. They're built for more combat that the standard EV suits. As for the borg option, it was just an idea for those who actually have a costume that's fully assimilated as possible. I have another thread based on Changes like these to the liberated borg options here: http://sto-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=777011

Still though it is a bit of a hassle, and i would love to have more options than wasting $7 on the TNG suit or being stuck with the other model, it looks terrible and doesn't fit the combat oriented scenarios that i find myself in while wearing it. The Maco gear however is tailor made for such a thing. I would consent to having it be a rep uplock though had i already not unlocked them before hand, and then had to trade them in all over again in the case of the enhanced Tholian set.
