Quick scimitar weapon opinion

What do you think?
Canons or beams for a sci char flying the scimitar?

I would normally choose canons but I see a beam build more logical for this.
Should I start posting again after all this time?

    I'm going with a beam boat, myself. Just due to the size, really.

    Which version do you intend to use?

    If you were to stock the eng one with turn rate consoles or the new dil mine consoles you could probably get a decent turn rate out of the ship for use with dhcs.

    With the 2 piece bonus, when decloaking this thing maintains the cloaked turn rate plus the maneuvering systems bonus. For the first few seconds of an alpha strike it is basically any other escort. Beams are playing it safe but I think a mix of DHCs and DBBs can be used on this to effect.

    Don't know, might tie in nicely with the nukara rep and the beam console and particle gen damage.

    Normally I'd say go cannons when you can but with all the various special stuff from omega, rom and nukara rep I don't know anymore.

    On one side it's favored towards plasma but on the other side that's also the easiest thing to defend against.

    I'd probably go pure cannon dps at first just to see it though albeit not getting one myself from the 1 hangar situation

    That's certainly worth considering, yeah.

    Like a Destroyer/Heavy Escort with DHC. Turnrate 7 and a slight bonus for the set are like the Lockbox Adapted Cruiser and that one works very well with DHC.

    TT1,TS2,CSV2,CSV3
    EPTS1,RSP1
    PH1,TSS2orHE2
    TS2
    EPTS1,RSP1,AUX2SIF2

    4 DHC 1 Set-Torpedo of choice or a Quantum
    2 Turrets, 1 Cutting Beam
    5 Tac consoles
    Valdore Shield Console, Plasmonic Leech
    3 Scimitar Consoles or Borg,Tachyokinetic and Zero-Point.
    I actually only like the secondary shielding console.

    (Consider a +8 second RSP DOff for this. Allows you to charge the Thalaron thing perfectly shielded)
