Tropical birds

"Why you not go do sports instead of sit there and be fat?"

Am I the only one to notice this is the first pet to not move, at all?

It made sense that it might not be able to fly when it was little but the seniors are lazy bums too.

Come on now cryptic, you going to make a stationary parrot it has to sit on the shoulder.

Run out of time again ?

    Yup! Your not the only one.
    I hatched a Tropical Bird today, and was on DS9 and noticed the bird will not do anything but hover there for a minute then land and just sit there!

    So...I figured maybe it was just cause flight is'nt really integrated into the game.
    A trip to Risa I thought would fix the problem...It kind of did.
    For me, when im on Risa and I use the bird it follows me and fly's around, but there will be times, when randomly my bird will take off and fly away and come back at a later time!

    IDK!. This is happening to us maybe cause there is some kind of BUG with the Tropical Birds

    And mines only a chick, thought that was why is wasnt flying. Turns out its not!:)

    If you move, they will continue to fly along after you. If you are being lazy and just standing there then it will land. They are still the most awesome non combat pets in the game in my opinion.

    I like mine, very colorful. And he follows me on Risa (never tried it elsewhere though).

    I haven't tried it myself yet but I have seen other players during the hunt event having their birds fly with them in the air.

    Assuming things again are we? Assumption is the mutha of all fups!

    On another note my Gorns Tufted Passion Wing max lever should be ready when I log on

    Unless he ate it first. ;)

    I'm just getting increasingly annoyed that of the seven eggs I've hatched so far over two characters, five of them have been Firesprays, the least-interesting of the birds I've seen. The other two were both Grotto Gliders. I need some variety!

    Yup mine wont follow me around either if I aint on risa... :(

    These are the most un-fun pets ever Cryptic has designed...even the horta rocks follow you around and spew some small lava....these birds just sit ther doing nothing else...can we add some more animation or even sounds (more like Pauly wants a cracker or something) these birds are r-e-t-a-r-d-s....:D

    Personally, I love my little Dusk Diver, but I have noticed the same problem. He followed me around when I was using my floater on Risa, but I summoned him at Memory Alpha and he just hovered there. I think it's a bug, because sometimes he started to follow me and then got stuck hovering. Hopefully they fix it.

    I think its only cause flight/flying isnt integrated in-game yet/at all.:rolleyes::confused:

    Huh, when that? I'm still getting the pitiful one egg per circa 4 runs.
