Anyway Park and Shoot Viable?

Yes, we all know that escort should not be park and shoot (unless you are in a Bug ship), nor should you do it in a science vessel or cruiser. May be a carrier at quarter impulse.

However, it would seems that the scimatar is DESIGNED for park and shoot. And not just quarter impulse turret, which still give some bonus, but I mean literal park and shoot, not moving to unload the thalon pulse

So here's the question:
1) Is there's anyway to properly park and shoot?
2) If not, what would you do if you are doing eSTF and all of them are park and shoot scimatar? You know it's gonna happen when it comes out.

    Don't PUG and it won't be a problem.

    i don't see a problem for 99% of the current PVE content tbh...

    way better turn rate, more defense bonus (or less def penalty, if you like). My keybinds are as follows:

    q: full reverse
    e: normal (+25% fwd per keypress)
    r: full stop

    ...I frankly see no point in any other arrangement.

    Fire it while you reverse. You'll have a better chance to keep your target in front of you.

    I imagine that moving will not be possible at all while charging/firing the weapon. Maybe it will shut down all power to the engines?

    If Im not fighting a tac cube or a gate in a elite I park my Recluse on my fed, or my Kafari on my klink and just sit, no need to fly around, even at quarter impulse if everything's in range, and I can just shrug off the damage.

    you only need to be moving if you need the def to mitigate damage, many battle cruisers, carriers, and some cruisers can just park, they have a boff and console layout that lets them fit a very solid tank.

    I sit and park my vesta with DHC and turrets.
    Spamming sci abilites. It works.

    Does moving give you bonus to defence?
