I was playing one of the Borg missions and I forgot to bring along a remodulator. The Borg adapted to my plasma rifle, so I switched to my synchronic distortion rifle. I was playing a RR tac officer with Fire Team mk9 equiped in the kit slot. I activated my buffs, and fired on the nearest drone and then I noticed that this weapon used in conjuction with the fire team kit is really good at killing Borg. I decided to test the theory and so I played a round of KAGE with the weapon and again, it performed well above what I expected. Has anyone else noticed this happening?

I've got a friend who keeps his Ghostbuster gun around for that. The secondary fire being able to chain hit targets helps with crowd control, and the fact it fires 2 different damage types means the Borg have to adapt to 3 total damage types, Antiproton (Main firing mode), Proton (Secondary), and whatever your other weapon is.
I can't take it anymore! Could everyone just chill out for two seconds before something CRAZY happens again?!

Only against Borg? This weapon is awesome when used in the proper way. When you fire the secondary attack at the one the fartest away, the other targets get hit with flank damage, combined with your normal buffs and debuffs, you can sometimes take out whole groups with one shot.
Tacs have that wonderful trait that a granate exposes the target, combined with this weapon you can have a massacre each time you hit them.
Another great gimmick is that it has no level. Once you have it, it levels with you. The mission which rewards it, is one of the easiests there is however.
