Foundry problem - KDF Character Creation Failed.

I keep hearing the Foundry is finally back online, which is something I've been looking forward to a lot. However I am unable to access it as a KDF player.
Some info:
- I bought the Foundry access unlock ages ago.
- I have 1 Federation Foundry character already
- With this Federation character I can log in just fine.
- I can also make additional Federation Foundry characters just fine.
- It says I have 4 character slots open.
However when I make a KDF character, it immediately gives a "Character Creation Failed" error before booting me back to the login screen. I've tried about 30 times now using various KDF races, and it keeps giving me this same error. It's very frustrating as I was looking forward to creating KDF content for my Romulan RP fleet.
Would anyone know of this issue and perhaps a possible workaround?:(

Is your account a silver or a gold?
When you try to make a UGC Klingon, do you make any changes other than race to the drop-downs?
Is this also happening if you just accept whatever appears when you click to creat the character?
Have you filed any tickets on this issue? If so, can you get me the number(s)?
This shouldn't be happening. Is anyone else getting this issue?

To answer your questions:
My account is silver. I have had a year-long subscription in the past, but only recently returned to the game due to the Romulans and am playing for free for the time being.
I've tried everything, from making changes to the drop-down bars to keeping whatever the Foundry generated for me. It makes no difference. Whatever I do, when I make a KDF Foundry character it gives the error.
I have not filed an ingame ticket as I was under the impression those tickets are pretty much never answered, but if you say it helps I'll gladly do so.
As for others having the same issue, through google I found a similar topic on the Tribble forum from several weeks back. I don't know if that has been resolved for those people since then however: Foundry - KDF Char creation fails - FED works

Thats my post and its still a problem now on holodeck, maybe I made a ticket for it but its not like we can actually view our tickets to tell you the number.

Did you purchase character slots? As far as I know, you only get ONE free foundry character slot, and then any others you need to buy extra slots from the Zen store.
That's what I did, and it's fine...
its not fine. creating a new KDF foundry character results in an error. This was a bug on tribble with legacy and has been a bug on holodeck since may 21
also several times when leaving it as it appeared when I opened character creator.
Almost all attempts ended with character creation Failed.
1 of the attempts nothing happened when I pressed the Create content button. {the ship name slot was RED at the Time. That was with default name. and also with several custom names.}

This is the result of pressing Create Content
also once had trouble making a FED character in process of testing this. every other try was able to make Fed Character but the 1 try.
EDIT have silver account made way back when there was A DEMO of the Game pre Free to play Pre Klingon faction. and used Zen to get more character slots post LOR since I already had 3 character slots pre LOR.
EDIT Started up game launcher and tried again to make klingon Faction character.

Got the Red ship name slot and nothing happens when pressing create content.

For those of you who are getting this, please file a ticket and let me know the number. That way I can add those to the bug and give the programmers additional information to track down what the cause of this is.

bug report was really short.
have 2 unpublished Klingon projects
1 published Fed project
1 unpublished FED project
sent the bug report from fed foundry character on a Test map I was working on.
also sent a bug report on Tribble but didn't see a bug report ID.
Some info:
- I am silver, no subs ever bought.
- Have bought char space to get 4 chars max (before LoR), got one extra after LoR (<- maybe this?).
- Made my first foundry char before LoR.

I already have three Fed missions and one klingon mission in the works, and I was in the process of switching my Klingon character out for a Fed to work on my other missions when I discovered that I could no longer create characters at all.
I have tried every method suggested here as a solution, but none have worked.
It didn't worked yet after the patch round, but there's no need to hurry. I can still work on my KDF missions with my fed foundry toon; the actual testing can be done later on.

This is not good. Can you let me know your @handle and any error messages you are getting? I can't promise anything but I will sound the alarm.
UPDATE: I just checked this myself and it looks like it may be a general issue rather than one with individual accounts, so no need to flood me with reports. I'm on this one.
My in-game handle is just @inkrunner.
I always received the same error message: "Character Creation Failed", immediately after clicking the "Crate Content" button on any new character, but now it is only a problem for making a KDF foundry character.
I don't know what changed, but I am now suddenly able to make new FEDs with no problem. That is fixed - though I have no idea how or even what was wrong in the first place - but I still can't make KDF foundry characters, just like the OP.
P.S. (If it's any help, occasionally the pregenerated random characters (before anything was changed) had nothing in the career field: instead of SCI, ENG, or TAC, the box was just empty. I only remember seeing those empty boxes on FEDs, just KDFs (but I admit I could have overlooked it in frustration).
Also, the Foundry character creation menu has a remnant of pre-LoR character creation attatched to it: the trait field. I don't know if anything other than the unchangeable trait menu remains (i.e., someone forgot to delete the prerequisite trait data for new Klingon characters in the Foundry), but if even a little bit does, it might just be the source of the problem)

This is a known issue. There should be (/em crosses fingers, knocks on wood, etc.) a fix in next week's update. Thank you for your report and I'm sorry your initial exposure to the Foundry was interrupted.
I've also not tried it, but you can* also maybe load using Fed character and just make yourself invincible and use the kill command if you have to test that type of thing.
*according to people familiar with the matter.

Sorry to say, but that was mentioned previous weeks also. Yet it still doesn't work.
But nonetheless, PWE/Cryptic was still able to add couple of (secret) nerfs?

I am glad that there is a fix in the works but still kinda sucks that i cant make anything until then.
