The Aenar

--So I've been playing the game since... forever ago. My main is an alien generated Aenar, which I have been tweaking for years now. But I cannot get her right. There's a few details that are sadly not present that I wish were. I'm not sure if and when those First Officers are going to see their day in the light as playable characters since one of my crew is an Aenar from the C-Store, but for the moment I cannot. However, this can be remedied, since I feel as though all it would take is a simple tweak, or switch, or whatever is needed to make it possible, since there are only two things required of this.

--The Aenar eyes, and their unique skin tone are already in the game if you customize your Bridge Officer, but they cannot be selected for anyone but them. Now of course this is a feature that only they have. This could be easily rectified, I should think, and just make the two items available for all officers. Right now, I am using an off-blue color, since the whitest one adds a peach undertone, and the eyes are reflective, which still provides the appearance of blindness, but not the way they are portrayed.

--If at all possible, these two fixes would make this fan a happy one. I love the Andorians and all the things related to them, and it would be wonderful if I could get to make my perfect Aenar with these.

I thought you could purchase playable Aenar from the zen store. now i'm thinking I may be mistaken. Try using google as sometimes you can get people who can give you information to get certain aliens looking good with STO.

You're half right.
The Store gives you Aenar, but only BOFFs not an unlock to make them playable characters.

Although from what you say you're probably very close to this already.

Personally I think the picture there looks very good but I could understand if it was still a bit off for an Andorian fan such as yourself

I would also like more honestly playable Aenar or at least the options to really make one look right. It would be awesome if we could get their traits.

I play an Alien who I have made an Aenar/Blue skin hybrid and she would not mind having a few more of these options herself.

The blind eyes and white skin could be used for other races and people. It's not just limited to the albino antennae'd ones. I have another character who could benefit from the skin tone, as well. But that's another story altogether. This is simply a request to get my character more Aenar-y. It's good to know others wish for these same options.

Count me as in, we need to have these extra parts for players that would like to make those species using Alien Gen.

You're certainly not the only one.
I'd go so far as to say that I'd like to see them as a playable PC species with proper racial traits and so on. The race obviously fully exists in game. make it a c-store unlockable.
I'd buy it.

So, yeah, not alone.

Indeed the pale skin could be nice for Androids and other Aliens who should be able to be pure white. I mean if you want to have an Alien who lives primarily in a pitch black environment then it would likely be white.

The coolest colonist doff is an Aenar. Keep him just because he's very rare to find.

--Absolutely got the reference. Also, regarding the DOFF, I didn't know about it, but then again, I don't play that portion of the game overmuch. Not that it isn't interesting... but I don't really have the talent for it. I will have to find that particular officer so I can add it to my list of things to include on my ship. Almost got the Andorian escort.. but since the Aenar are peaceful, I doubt she would have an escort full of weapons.

--I am happy to know others have Aenar, though... we definitely gotta get together. Always been looking for others who play the race.
