I have been having this problem since LoR went live. It happens when I try to beam to New Romulus and also after I log back in and I am on New Romulus it isn't very long before I crash again. I never had this problem before and New Romulus is the only place it happens. I'm getting really miffed about this. Anyone else with this problem?
Yes, this has been happening to me too since LoR released. I've only had it happen in the staging area.
After awhile, I decided to keep Task Manager open to check performance, and I noticed that when New Romulus is loading, there is a 500 MB spike in memory usage.
Then, if it doesn't crash on me, I transfer to a different spot on New Romulus, the memory usage drops, a little. But still stays pretty high.
I've also noticed that even leaving New Romulus, the memory stays high.
So I'm not sure if something is loading when the maps comes up, and stays in memory.
But with other maps, it loads, uses memeory and then wehn I leave the map, memory drops.
I experienced the same problem often at the launch of Season 7.
The solution that worked for me, is to change my difficulty setting back to "NORMAL" while I am beaming to New Romulus.
When I try beaming down with difficulty set to "advanced" or "elite" it crashes every time. On "normal" , no crashes. I have no explanation for why, only a suggestion that this is what has worked for me.
The game crashes to desktop almost any time now. Doesn't matter where I am or what I am doing, it is increasingly frustrating! Especially when trying to complete elite STF's for example. Has anyone had issues of the game not loading at all? When I log in, it gets to the cryptic screen but the loading bar is just stuck. Sorry if that is a bit vague.
ST Online crashes often at various spots in the game. But the errors being reported are minor compared to when it forces a re-boot of my PC. I even reduced the graphics when in-game but it doesn't stop the re-boot.

Its usually whilst trying to load textures, I'm afraid I cant remember the exact error message.
