Is this a known bug and ummm...where is my stuff?

And mine are almost three years old. I thought this bug was fixed, they had disappeared for a long time, but they've returned to once again haunt my steps.

Even after the recent mail bug fix, the items are still gone from my mail, too.

I held onto the mails that are supposed to contain expired items, but somehow I feel like they're gone forever.

I have found that they are double posts I have had items expired then the next one say expired with No item then next one has an item I think their just ghost mails as when I exit the mail and go back in their gone

    That's my experience with it

I am no longer selling purple items on the exchange until this is fixed. I do not want my purple items getting deleted and I not receiving some type of compensation. As for Rare or less, the vendor can have those.

Not directed at anyone in particular

If a player doesn't overprice the stuff he or she is selling then he or she won't have to worry about it getting deleted.

And if they are using the exchange for extra storage by setting idiotic prices no one will pay, ha-ha, serves you right.

Who is it that determines idiotic prices? Some items just have low turnover, it doesn't mean they are wrongly priced, just low demand. We shouldn't have to lose high end items because we decide to sell a limited item with a reasonably priced item. Should I have to give away a bug ship just to be sure it sells so I don't risk it going poof?

yeah so what, just to keep things from being deleted you should give them away for super low prices in the exchange?

some things are ridiculously rare.. so rare that you might not ever see another one..
like pulling a VR XII tac console from the childrens toys line..

now those consoles sell for 50m+
it might take a couple weeks tho for it to go though.. not everyone is buying them everyday.

it doesnt mean im going to throw one on for 10m just to sell it quick..

also.. i can see the same for lockbox ships.. the price is always going up and down.. if you notice it can sway by almost 15m..

so ill price mine higher then anyone else and hope when they sell mine is the next one..

i usually will not budge on the price cause one guy throws one on for 15m cheaper.. if i can see it im the one that usually buys those up.. just to repost for the actual price..

We've all been at the exchange from time to time and seen and laughed at insanely priced common items that can be bought for a pittance at an npc vendor. :D You can deny having seen it but your just lying to yourself. It's obvious those idiotic prices are chosen so the person can use the exchange for extra storage.

What does that have to do with legitimately priced items (at the time) that don't sell and get lost? What if you couldn't drive your car because "someone" else crashed theirs irresponsibly?

No items are being lost. What's happening is that the Exchange is sending duplicate messages. It sends two messages with the same timestamp for each expired item, but only one of them will actually contain the item. If you delete the message containing the item, close your mail window, and reopen it, then the duplicate message will be deleted as well.

Incorrect. I have lost items. Deleting the empty message is also deleting the one with the item and some characters have other glitches related to losing items/invisible new messages as well. I am experiencing all of this.

Here is the thing. You can make money that route for convience. Sometimes on characters where the slots aren't being used, you can price large shield generators or large hypos in packs of 20 for well above the price from a vendor. Why would people buy those for much more; because they don't know about vendors or don't want to buy 20 of the items individually for their reputation projects as that takes many clicks. They are valuing their time more than some EC. It isn't purchased every time, but often enough that you can earn a little by doing it.

Who are you to judge what some people find worthwhile use of their EC? Even though it may not be rational to you, there is a method to the madness. If you don't want to buy it, thats fine, but there is a market for it and we should be able to sell what we want for how much we want, and if it doesn't sell, we should get it back like any other item priced that isn't sold.

NO, no it dosent serve us right, i post upper half very rare items on the exchange and i get a mail saying item has expired but no item attached, im loosing millions of ec because of it. And alot of items that are on the exchange that look over priced to some people, well there not, alot of items like very rare upper half items should cost millions of ec. You cant be selling purple items on the exchange for thousands of dollars, that would defeat the purpose of playing the game, to get the money and get purple items.

Yep getting this as well. Sometimes there will be an item but the 'collect item' button remains greyed out and can't be clicked.

So every time an item doesn't sell... I lose out.

Not really fair, I try to sell fair (at market price if on sale or 'recommended price' if not and I sell stuff crafted as well as looted, it's not working sadly.

yep and so far no acknowledgment as to when we will be getting these items back.

ive lost fleet ship modules, mirror ships, 100s of contrabands, a few really rare xii consoles..
thankfully i pulled the JHHEC i had on the ex before it expired..

also my whole email was deleted..

they really screwed up big on this update.
