The Romulan Bird of Prey symbol was the first icon that symbolized the Romulans. A century after their last contact with the Star Empire, humans still recognized and feared this mighty war standard. So, why don't we use it, anymore?
I prefer the TOS Romulans to the TNG. I'm not sure how popular that opinion is, but I think we need to put it on more stuff.
I would like to use it on my T'Varo. I know we won't ever be able to use the T'liss at T5, but that symbol is not something from the 23rd century, or the 1960s for that matter. It's as timeless as it is awesome.
Ideally, I would like to see it on costumes, as well. Imagine a longcoat or cape with the war standard of the Empire on it!
Other examples exist, with additional variations. Among various Star Trek model kits sold was one with three different ships (a TOS Constellation, a TOS Warbird, and a TOS Romulan D7), which included this set of decals: http://www.jt-graphics.com/images/D/1600/JTG-024_3Piece_Web.jpg
I went googling for the D7 from "The Enterprise Incident," in order to make my Kamarag look as much like that D7 as possible, and discovered all of these images (and more), which inspired me to make the Kamarag look a bit different from my original plan.
i was on a bit of a downer when i swore no there was no decal of a bird of prey to put on my T'varo hope there add one. there could add it as a rep mission once u hit tier 4-5

The Polar Light Klingon battle cruiser kit also came with parts and decals so the builder could make the ship Romulan. Caused me to purchase 3 more so that I could have all possible combinations. I certainly approve of adding the bird motif to the bottom of ALL Romulan ships.
Dreadnought class. Two times the size, three times the speed. Advanced weaponry. Modified for a minimal crew. Unlike most Federation vessels, it's built solely for combat.
Comments
Agreed.
It would also be nice to be able to get a D7 with this motif, as seen here:
