I was nosing around the Fleet store today thinking about a 4th Elite DHC up front to replace the Torpedo launcher on my Fleet Defiant when I found DHC AP with x2 modifiers to both Damage and Accuracy.
Wow ... what rock have I been living under?
These were not available when I got my DMGx3, ACC heavy cannons so now I'm wondering ...
Do I replace everything with DMGx2 ACCx2 versions (DHCs and Turrets!!)
or
Simply stay with the DMGx3, ACC ones?
I am a Tac Andorian VA with accuracy space captain trait. I don't have a super refined min/max build but I've been told I have come in around 8.5K DPS with my current set up. Generally speaking will the DMGx2, ACCx2 make a difference for me worthy of the replacement dilithuim/FC costs?

I am not sure how much difference it makes, but my understanding is [ACC] >>> [Anything else]. If you have the FC, dilithium and starbase provisions for it, it's probably worth it. If you don't, it's probably not worth losing sleep over it.
I'd heard several other people basically repeat the same advice when these came out. If you're big on PVP where that kind of accuracy is the difference between life and death, then maybe (depending on how serious about it you are). If you're a psycho minmaxer that can drop 60k dil and 120k fleet credits on an extra percent or two bonus, then yes. For the other 95% of the game, the old ones work just fine.
They're newer...added some time in during season 7 I think, right around after the Kumari was being added and they added Andorian Phasers to the fleet still if I recall.
Can't have a honest conversation because of a white knight with power
Good to know these are relatively recent. Helps me sleep knowing I've gotten my dilithium's worth out of the DMGx3 pieces.
So many other things to put that kind of dilithium into right now.
But one day ...
Now all that's left to grumble about is the lack of turn-in value on old fleet store pieces. If we could get 50% value back of the dilith/FC (like selling vendor trash to merchants), I'd upgrade today. Even 33% would be appealing (but for you Cryptic Devs reading this understand 50% would be better )

i'm sticking with my accx2 crth and acc crthx2 for less than 2 mill from the exchange
they are not as old as you think anyway...introduced just a few weeks before LoR

It is a peculiar phenomenon that we can imagine events that defy the laws of the universe.
