Liberated Borg and story?

This is possibly a 'stupid' topic, but I find myself wondering-does the Romulan 'Story', specifically the Tal Shiar Infiltration, change any for Liberated Borg?

1.Liberated Borg are kinda distinctive, and as far as I'm aware, none are IN the Tal Shiar.
2. A Liberated Borg is/would be pretty much the Holy Grail to the Tal Shiar, as they'd be able to reverse engineer stuff much like Task Force Omega has done via Seven of Nine.(Probably the only reason they're doing the salvage bit is they don't want to grind. But it kinda makes everyone hypocrites-EVERYONE'S using some Borg tech on their ships these days. Why not the Tal Shiar?)
3.Borg conditioning+Tal Shiar messing with you+some of the things they ask you to do lead to story possibilities in themselves, it feels like.

Just questions and things to talk about

Because the Tal Shiar would be more interested in using the Lib Borg Drone as a science subject so that they can master the technology and implant themselves ala Hakeev.

At least that's my view on it. My lib borg's backstory is that she was 'liberated' and placed under continual study/exam by the Tal Shiar until the Hobus event when she managed to escape the compound.

unfortunately, i highly doubt that any race based changes to the storyline happen if your a lib borg. very rarely does a storyline change just because of race, faction i could see, but race? probably not.

    Spoiler Alert!

I agree that the Tal Shiar would be greatly interested in Liberated Borg and any technology such as that. I believe the Vault in the Haakona System was specifically used by the Tal Shiar to analyze and reverse engineer Borg Tech. The mission "By Any Means" also involves Romualns and Borg, as does the mission "S'harien's Swords". It would not surprise me if Commander Taelus and the I.R.W. Areinnye were either Tal Shiar, or operating on their behalf in the mission "The Return".

As to your question about former Drones serving in the Tal Shiar, I believe that Hakeev is a former Borg Drone. Between the eye implants and his comments "As the Borg would say, Resistance is futile." in the mission "Cutting the Cord", I think the evidence, while circumstantial, is very compelling.

Nah, you find out in the RR storyline that Hakeev was never assimilated and used Borg tech to upgrade himself.

Where? When? What mission? Again, the evidence is circumstantial, but very compelling. I didn't say my hypothesis was the gospel truth. My analysis is that that is the most likely explanation.

When you first see Hakeev he has both eyes. In one of the early fights he leaves the battlefield not because his ship was about to be destroyed, but because his eye got injured. In his next 2-3 appearances he hasa scar there, then later you see a Borg implant where the scar was.

I also notes that L.B.Romulans DON'T get some of the Romulan traits like: Singularity Specialist, Covert Operative and Plasma Weapon Specialist. What's up with that?

This is true for Lib Borg Humans and Klingons too. Neither of them gets the traits of their "base" race.
