Andorian Fleet Phasers on Romulan ship?

Could anybody who has the Andorian ship please tell me if they can buy the blue Andorian Fleet Phasers on their Romulan?
I was wondering if it is hooked up to check if you own the C-Store item, or if it checks if you currently have the ship on the character.
Would be awesome if we could, cause well they're blue.
I don't feel like spening 2500 Zen on an experiment though.

As you say you need to have the ship unlocked on a character (not account as far as I know) so the Andorian Phasers work...you can't use T5 (C-Store or not) non-Romulan ship on your Romulan characters.
