.....not have a series of ground melee combat moves for it that mimic the bat'leth moves one can use?
IThe KHG shotgun has a huge bayonet/halberd blade on its front and even a buttstock blade that is useless since all that can be done with it is a Rifle Butt attack in melee.
Its needs an Impale attack for its foreblade and a Slam attack option for its Butt blade.
Nothing fancy just two more simple icons with these attacks.

Sorry roach. That makes too much sense. I'm all for it, though , especially a slam attack.

I would like that very much.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.
So, can the Fed version of the weapon get the same treatment, but with hard-light blades? (ala the Omni-Blade from Mass Effect) or is this gonna be one of those KDF only things?
I thought federation players didn't like blades on their weapons? :P
Seriously though at least a special attack animation if you have the KHG shotgun/sniper equipped vs the standard butt stroke animation, kinda like when using pistol(s) you get a palm-strike attack instead of a butt-stroke maybe add in +10 to base butt-stroke melee damage since you have a huge blade you would be attacking with.
While were at that can I please have the mek'leth and d'kang weapons the npcs use, pretty, pretty, pretty please
Its an automatic shotgun, with under slung, pump action grenade launcher.
I can't add any more words to that to make it more ally... all your enemies should be dead or quaking in their boots at the allyness of it before you get with in range to HUG (cursed word filter) them one.
Showed it, and the re-loading action to a Federation Bolian mate of mine and he turned blue with Envy.
check out the bayonet's on the < mk6 disruptor weapons.
Never seen them.... Im all for any modified weapon having the same attacks. If you got a big pointy thingy on the end of your disruptor you should be able to jab with it.
The creation of a such an attack should hopefully be easy enough with its on icon.
On a side note. I must say the KHG shotgun pump animation is great. Awesome in the one-handed pump, which I swear Ive seen it do.
Excellent touch in design.

Well that explains the pumping. Sad. I was hoping there was a "My Boomstick" easter eggy animation involved.....
I like its range though. It allows quick move to melee.
It's a freakin awesome weapon, shame i can't lop off heads with it.:D
"The meaning of victory is not to merely defeat your enemy but to destroy him, to completely eradicate him from living memory, to leave no remnant of his endeavours, to crush utterly his achievement and remove from all record his every trace of existence. From that defeat no enemy can ever recover. That is the meaning of victory."

wondering the same thing while gettn my TRIBBLE beat on stf ground by the borg. health have to be pretty low to make it a finisher so you have to start with a bat'leth then z key to the bayonet. maybe stab them, and launch a grenade in the hole you just made stabbing, it shell out 100 bucks to cryptic just for that.
Lyndon Brewer: 20% chance to capture enemy ship for 60 seconds on successful use of boarding party.

My approved method of dealing with groups is to cloak up, buff up, de-cloak and fire the UGL. By the time I work the pump action about 80% of the bad guys are toast.
Anyone else notice the mouse-2 button underslung no longer cools down your grenades?
Fire underslung, toss Plasma grenade - shake and bake.
The bayonet on the Adapted sniper rifle would make for some interesting WW2 combat training looking animations too.

Because if we could use our Shotguns of Doom like that, then Cryptic would have legions of Starfleet players moaning for months on end about how the KDF got a new shiny that makes the game so unfair and they need a battle cloaking tabby cat that does ninja somersaults and plants sticky bombs on the backs of enemies to make the factions equal or something... I don't know.

I've wondered about this also. I would like to skewer my opponents with impunity.

It doesn't even need an icon, really (my ground power tray is a little cluttered as it is) just add skewer/hack/slam animations to the melee repertoire.

Simplest solution would be to have the Rifle Butt be the "standard" melee attack animation, and then give it is Bayonet Strike animation for the Exploit melee attack animation, substituting in for the more typical "roundhouse kick" animation done as a melee Exploit on an Exposed target. No need for extra buttons or attack commands, it's just an alternate animation.
Of course, it would be awesome if it were then possible to do a Skewer+BOOM combination where using the melee Exploit attack would reset the Expose duration to being "just long enough" to get off a ranged Exploit attack, if the latter was cued up during the former, giving you "two Exploits for the price of one" if the hostile was in melee range to start with (their mistake!).

A new icon with a new power will seperate the slam, impale and chop attacks for the KHG shotgun from similiar powers on other weapons that require key combo's to achieve.

Impale attack for pointy stabby modifications
Butt blade slam for the KHG weapon or weapons similiarly designed.
How about a Hack option since the KHG blade is axe like as well?
Anything else missing?
