I know that this isn't included in the list of things you get for the Legacy Pack, but it would be nice if the people who bought it could be included in the next round of testing (if there is one before open beta).
That's not much to ask for, is it? Considering that I bought mine purely to support STO?
I think the issue for cryptic, and probably why they did the first closed beta the way they did, is if people would actually test.
There was a lot wrong with the Romulan Play when it first hit tribble. many of the major errors have since been fixed, but this is in part because people reported, and in some cases, kept reporting until the bug was fixed. This works great for Cryptic as it helps them get the best possible product when the expansion hits live.
Which is why they chose people not only with a history of testing, but who were already testing. (not sure if the "Testing Legacy of Romulus group" was seperate from the "Previously tested" group for the purposes of closed beta invites). This gives them the best chance to have people test and report bugs, rather then ignore.
Remember, The Legacy Pack is for Holodeck, it does not transfer over to tribble, so Some may feel that it is not worth playing a Romulan if you can't fly a t5 D'deridex for example.
So that would be in effect a wasted invite from Cryptics perspective. I do hope more people get a chance to try out Romulan Play, I think it would put to rest a lot of peoples fears if they actually got to see/play as a Rom rather then rely on hearsay. However, I can understand Cryptic limiting it to a "sure thing" at least until Open beta.

Don't worry open beta is only 2 weeks away.

I don't think their selection ended up quite as considered as they made it out to be, but I see the logic behind it.
That said, I am not talking about the first closed beta. Cryptic has hinted that there will be a second round testing, and if that one is also a closed beta, I am making a suggestion that I believe will make the Legacy Pack more enticing for impatient people (like me!).
If they were just referring to a testing weekend before this goes live, well, I guess they'll just ignore this thread. I haven't seen a concrete testing schedule, so I thought I'd make the suggestion anyway.

Allow me to quote myself here, since you apparently missed it (or ignored it).
IF they pull in more people for the Closed Beta, I think it's fair that people who preordered the Legacy pack should get a chance.
If not, well, whatever.
