BUG: Rearrange HUD

In Sector space I am hit the esc key and then select the Rearrange Hud tab and change items around. However I am not able to do this when on a mission map. I press the esc key and the green hugs flash and are gone. This is a bit problematic as the Singularity Core graphic is over my ship. A major problem when you are in combat.
