I left this as feed back on the tribble forums, but it went unnoticed, so I'll post it again.

The KDF Romulan Belt that puts stuff on your chest needs some retuning. If you're wearing something that exposes your upper chest/collarbone area, the metal "rivets" look like they're protruding out of you skin, attached to your sternum. Kind of weird.

The Romulan outfits that I have seen so far on Tribble are really excellent!

I think they are probably the best in the game so far. :D

The hairstyles on the concept art are lovely.

Can we have anything like that for the romulans please?

Also, can we get this hair enabled for romulans ?

They got pigtails, ponytails, so why not shoulder long straight hair?
Let us wear Swimsuits on Foundry maps or bridges please! I would pay zen for that.

How about new hairstyles for all? The ones we have now are kind of bland.

I loved this blog! My only regret was that I couldn't click on the pictures to see them in bigger resolution. STO's concept art gallery is unfortunately much thinner than it ought to be. :(

One thing I hope makes it in game for the female romulan characters is that collarless undershirt for females (just like the romulan woman's uniform on the art for Legacy of Romulus). I didn't see those in the videos closed beta testers uploaded to Youtube - I really hope it makes it in, as I find it quite stylish.

Oh yes, more hairstyles are always good, but less is not.

This. Came in to say the same thing about the concept art hairstyles and I see I'm not the only one who'd like to see them in the game.

I'm in total agreement, I'd love to see some long hair options, especially those in the concept art.

    Thank you!

Can you please shed any light on whenever the Romulans will be able to use hairstyles already usable in the federation and KDF, like the style titled "Long" in the tailor?

The romulan NPCs on New Romulus already use it, so I do not know why your characters cant use it on tribble.

the uniforms have been really awesome for the romulans, i especially like the republic uniforms. could we get a none option on the undershirt for female though?

also, with the patch, my rom kdf uniform lost the chest belt parts, they arent an option now for some reason.

Any dev blog where it says "We were inspired by Firefly" has my seal of approval.

To hell with the naysayers - The current outfit that was shown in the concept art and in the trailer looks awesome. And your man is right - it does capture the essense of what the Romulans have become. The fact that the TOS uniform is being released - also excellent.

Given that the Romulans won't be getting their own version of the MACO/HG gear, would it be possible to do a Romulan STF "Oufit Pack" - as it were - so that they can have something to distinguish themselves?

But yeah. Damn good blog. Really looking forward to LoR after that.

From what I've played around with on tribble the fed/rom uniforms are very nice, armor plating, gauntlets with control panels built in (used for beaming out ), sleek materials. The kdf/roms have a very menacing look, leather, tal'sihar ( spell check please ) looking harness's, Klingon-esq gauntlets, the only thing is that any male kdf/romulan at the moment has a scowl and a half, plastered on their face permanently ( please fix ). But overall the new uniforms are by far the best in game good job! ( one happy beta tester )

I am buying the TOS uniform day 1. No question about it. Probably my favourite TOS outfit, and The Enterprise Incident is probably my favourite original series episode too.

In the future there will be thigh high boots. Everything's going to be alright.

    Love the new stuff.

Since we're talking about hairstyles, none of the "receded" hairstyles (see my avatar) are available for male Romulans on Tribble, YET the second NPC I face in the game has it! OUTRAGE!!!

I'm hoping this is just an oversight and that it's going to be eventually addressed :)

Looking at the concept art for the Romulan Republic - very Firefly-esque - , I am sooo sold on that look especially if the hairstyles in the picture are an indication for upcoming new hairdos.
Cryptic have blown a lot of people away with this expansion so far and if it carries on, I can see a bright future - still need a few more KDF outfits which don't include spiked boots :D

Those uniforms look amazing. I can't wait to get my Romulan up and running.

On a related note, thank you so much for giving us Nero's tattoos in the editor! :)

"Critics who say that the optimistic utopia Star Trek depicted is now outmoded forget the cultural context that gave birth to it: Star Trek was not a manifestation of optimism when optimism was easy. Star Trek declared a hope for a future that nobody stuck in the present could believe in. For all our struggles today, we haven’t outgrown the need for stories like Star Trek. We need tales of optimism, of heroes, of courage and goodness now as much as we’ve ever needed them."

Looks great. If we get those hairstyles from the concept art I might roll up a female captain for once. Was never a fan of the current ones on live right now.

The problem I have with this article is

    1) It assumes that ALL Romulans lived on Romulas and are "refugees"

    2) It doesnt take into account that its been 20 years and we have thing like RELICATORS

One issue I have on test is that the early costumes make us all into migrant lettuce farmers.

Regardless of the story we are forced to follow, my Romulan is from a big city and attended the Military acadamy. I dont farm and I dont wear rags.

But other than that the costumes I have played with on test are pretty cool. About the only thing that makes me feel Romulan after being forced to help the misquided Republic than throws out 1000s of years of our culture and then being forced to me a MINOR race in either the Fed or KDF.

Its very sad to me what you guys have done to the Romulans. Other than the costumes its like you have gone out of yoru way to strip them of any Identity. Its like playing SWTOR and having the Sith run around helping people in need.
