I keep reporting/blocking those mails costantly but i seem to loose the fight as they keep sending new ones on a daily basis.
I wouldnt mind if someone would do something about this but oviously f2p helps them. The probably easiest way to get rid of them would be if noone buys from them but i guess thats wishfull thinking..
i got like 10 to 20 mails from this dude in the last few weeks, hitting the report button every time, goes to ignore list but pops up the next day with a new @handle
i thought F2P accounts would not have email / zonechat rights until they've spend x amount of time in-game or x amount of money on the C-Store.
I've reported at least 3, and deleted many more over the past week. I've even sent an email to the Egpal site, telling them to stop sending spam mail. This seems to have no discernible effect.

seems this dude isn't bothered by it.
Thats probably because those accounts have been around long enough and they were just "buying" their time till the system let them actually use those accounts to mail/chat. And with it being F2P and a pretty standard logon feature, I am pretty sure bots are now cycling through those accounts to spam...

sending them an email does nothing more than confirm that your account and your email address are active so they know to keep it on their list.
Only reputable companies actually let you unsubscribe.
I'm sure it's been mentioned somewhere in the previous 10 pages, but reporting senders achieves little as they will just generate new ones. There's hundreds of Chinese getting paid a quarter a day to do nothing but this.
A more clever method would be a chatbot, ran by Cryptic/PWE themselves, that automatically bans accounts that spam specific strings. Of course as the spammers change wording the banbot would have to adapt.
I reported an EgPal spammer today, and now my account is banned.
No idea if there is a connection, and maybe they thought I was involved in it? If they do, I most certainly was not. I am an honest gamer who just wants to enjoy the game like everyone else. I am in no way connected to the spammers.
I just got my account banned as well. Idk why, but it was "Forcibly removed" from the game right after I said something about Egpal in fleet chat. All attempts to log into the game are met with "your account has been banned".
A ticket has been created, will check back in 4 years, by then maybe they will of gotten around to it.

And yet you still got me to type it, after knowing this already, nice one.

Still no word, still banned.
irwin: I had no warning, and it was a sneaking suspicion. If I knew you were trying to say it, i would of warned you and not sent you on a dummy mission. You know me better then that

Yeah I know that now, sorry for accusing you man.

As soon as things start getting bad they throw more content out to "cover up" the issues. This gets ppl off of the rant threads and into the game till they get bored again. This same strategy is implemented on numerous games. Its the cheap easy out. I mean hell look at the new expansion LoR and the "beta" DX11 mode, which BTW is plagued right now with black texturing and glitches. Who has to test DX11? Its been out for almost 5 years now lol.
Yes. Perfect World Inc. is famously known for the sub-par Customer Support they offer. Go on ANY of their games forums and its the same TRIBBLE over and over. Players going sometimes Weeks and Months without resolves to their issues. So long as the eager player forks money out to the cause and no one is their to put their foot down, the devs carry on.
PS. Yes, Perfect World DOES offer 24/7 Customer Support, But that is left for billing issues because law states when operating any type of Merchanting Services they HAVE to. All other tickets go into a que of first come first serve style handling, despite the seriousness of the issue. These tickets or Support inquiry are only handled on workdays during normal business hours. Again another epic failure.

That's on your end. My textures are perfectly fine in DirectX 11 mode.
You guys may want to check it out. The "anti-spam system" is backfiring badly.

That person was right. Huge numbers of people using DX11 Beta are experiencing it. It is not just a local problem.
