Ever seen so many pvp related changes in one patch? Actions definately speak Louder than words. Golden performance Cryptic. Thanks Bort.

In summary:
Chain crits fixed
Tach mine nerfed to 2.5% from 5% and resistance via skill power insulator
FAW fixed
Nadion inversion not affected by weapons going offline
Trico mines harm all now
Subterfuge trait now fixed
Nadion detenator console now not cooled down by Photonic DOFFS

    Starship Sensors now also reduces the duration of the Screen Static FX overlay associated with powers like Antimatter Spread.

    Time to slot it without feeling bad.

    There seems to be a lot of good changes this patch... and I believe Bort has a few other fixes in the pipe as well.

    I am hopeful we might get a few more nice patches before the Rom ships hit.

    were the tach mines nerfed too? just having PI actually counter them was enough. give CPB and tach beam a res debuff too already, that alone would make them really useful, more so then striping shield hitpoints.


    also on tribble on all the ships that separate anything, when they die they wont lose their separation. thats a huge buff to the fleet MVAM, it wont lose beta section, which is nearly bug tier, when it dies now.

    unlike the galaxy, being separated hugely buffed the MVAM's combat potential.

    Thats now a useless s*** which is 200 lobies .BY default everyone has 6 or 9 in power insulators .I tested them on tribble against a wells ship with 9 in power insulators and they are completly useless. (9 in flow cap with flow capacitors consoles )

    Thats under PvE fixes...its PvP (player vs player) not player vs pet (aka npc ) :rolleyes:

    Agreed, Naz. Good work, Cryptic. There are some longstanding issues addressed here.

    Are we forgetting the Thermionic Nerf/buff/more nerfed than buffed?

    I am not a happy power drain JHAS pilot...
    I'm the guy that uses unconventional builds, and don't fall to the normal. I also don't believe in "No-BS" TRIBBLE, it's in the game, it's ready to be used. Think Clint Eastwood in Heartbreak Ridge.

    "Tricobalt Mines can now potentially deal damage to their owner if the owner is too near the target when they detonate."

    I guess this means I'll have to be more careful with tric mines on my b'rel and hope my team mates see them as well, otherwise...boom.

    I agree this is what I'd expect from every patch from a AAA title.

    I would hope that next they systematically go thru each and every science space skill and both return them to canon and improve their overall damage and destructive condition output (like power drain and other effects that have been nerfed into oblivion)

    This quite a patch, with a lot of long awaited changes/fixes....


    Chain crits fixed

    Especialy this one : (Tach mine nerfed to 2.5% from 5% and resistance via skill power insulator.) As these things when used together with Dispersal Patterns could clean out most if not all your shields. Im especialy happy for this fix.:-D

    On one hand, they're just doing Cryptic's job anyway by getting the Feds back to their spawn...

    ...on the other hand, several KDF usually end up getting blown up by the warp core breach explosions anyway.

    Just to clarify, they only harm foes + self. Not friends. They cannot be used as griefing tools, except against yourself.

    How will that work for Fer'jai frigates?

    These pets can spam the field with Trico mines, and killing themselves doesn't mean very much to the owner.

    Players are also are able to, like all pets, circumvent standard cooldowns simply by resummoning them.

    While their trico mines are hardly noticable for the damage, constantly spamming the field with stuns "for free" is still a bit much.


    Would be nice if they could at least kill or harm their owner if they're not careful.

    From what the patch notes say I don't think they will blow up friendly targets, just yourself and enemies, too much griefing potential in pve and pvp if you could attack friendlies so easy with mines.

    Anyway you don't have to worry too much about people mining the spawn anymore since that tric mine nerf a few patches ago. Besides my tac Tala, I have only seen 1 or 2 others that are still able to kill all the Feds by spawn mining like TrekkieBBS.

    The way downtime keeps getting extended... I think the server was allergic to the patch.

    Okay, they're also doing network stuff... so maybe when they dusted, they didn't realize the dust was all that was holding it together. :)
