Carrier Pet Status

Is there any way to keep track of Carrier Pets through the HUD? I use a Karfi and 4 frigates are tough enough to watch out for. I think i'd end up spaming 12 fighters.

A lot of us want this.

    I would like either
a hud where we can keep track of fighters/pet (might be too many with 12)
    OR
AI that will auto launch fighters to replace the one that are lost.
To grow old is inevitable, to grow up is optional.
Please review my campaign and I'll return the favor.

HUD status could be quick and simple: a 2 tier icon for each bay, each tier would have a silhouette for each ship in the flight, the color would go from white for full shields to red for hull damage to black for dead.

This; all we need is simple icons like that, grouped by hangar/wing so we can see when we need to launch a new wave.

I would agree we need a hud or status display of some kind. If for nothing else so I can perhaps heal a bird of prey pet.

I do like to launch them manually even when all four are up; I do this to modify their behavior. If they get lazy and buzz a target doing ineffectual broadsides; I like to launch fresh ones as the first thing they do when launch is prep and conduct an alpha strike. So I keep high aux for low cool-down so I can do pet alpha strikes on sort of demand.

Also I like the manual launch option to replace pets fallen behind.

I never tried to set the pet icons for auto as one would a weapon icon. They don't work that way do they?

So yes; a display of some kind showing pet status...certainly unique icons to you above them so I can pick mine out of another carrier's frigates or fighters. And option for manual and auto replenishment.

It would be nice if this status display would also make the launch button smart enough to replace the most damaged/dead pets first rather than just replacing them in order that they were launched.

While we're at it, a way of directing saucer sections, MVAE bits and the like would be handy - in the same way that we direct our fighters.
