Mesh Weaver Pets

So, there's the following on Redshirt:
[*]Players who own the Tholian Recluse Carrier may now purchase Tholian Mesh Weaver Carrier pets.
  • Normal quality Mesh Weavers are available for Energy Credits.
  • Advanced Mesh Weavers are available in the Dilithium Store under the Special category for Dilithium.
  • Elite Mesh Weaver Carrier Pets are available from Fleet Starbases that have unlocked carrier pet stores.

So I decided to pop over to Redshirt and take a look. Knew I wouldn't be able to look at the Elite with the toon, but figured I'd be able to see the Normal (Blue) and Advanced (Purple)...

...just the Normal.

2x Tetryon DBB
Tetryon BA
Tholian Thermionic Torp
FAW1
APB1
EM1
Supports Recluse Tetryon Grid

Like I said, though - can't see the Advanced nor Elite.

Anybody have the stats on those?

Reason I ask is kind of simple. Have you ever fought Mesh Weavers? Notice that ability they have?

Tractor Beam...

...is Cryptic giving the KDF Tractor pets?

I'm more worried about them possibly using that really annoying web-wall thing they can do. To me that'd be far worse than tractor beams.

Plus, I thought that Orb Weavers and Recluses used Tractor Beams. I don't think I've ever seen it from a Mesh Weaver though.

That said, they would not be giving the KDF tractor pets, since Feds and eventually Romulans would have just as much access to them as anyone. If anything that'd make them more of a problem than Danubes because they're Frigate-level pets, and have their other abilities and powers as well.

I must admit, respect points to Trendy for laying down the law like that.

Thanks. That leads me to believe that they won't have it at Elite.

The "Supports Recluse Tetryon Grid" part makes me wish that console was even half decent. :(

The patch notes specify an elite version- it'll just be available through the starbase at tier 5, like all the other elite fighters.

I see they have APB 2 built in. Seems like that would make them quite the DPS monster in PvE.

Well as long as they don't get that TRIBBLE Tholian Tetryon FAW that knocks shields offline for 10 seconds

They knock out weapons, not shields.

SO annoying. Especially in PvE, where Engines/Shields/Aux don't even really matter.

I still think the Fer'Jai's are better.

Free Tricos and Aceton Beams, forcing Escorts to burn an HE.

APB is too easily cleared to make that much of a difference (except in PvE) imo.
