Hey guys. I've been on hiatus for about 4 months, but am looking to get back into the game. I was wondering if anything has come out in that time I should look at purchasing, specifically oriented towards PvP. Any good new doffs, consoles, ships, weapons, shields, etc.? I have enough EC, Zen, Dilithium, and Fleet Credits stored up to buy pretty much anything so feel free to mention it even if you think it may be too pricey.
I have a KDF Engineer, KDF Tac, Fed Tac, and Fed Sci. My KDF fleet has all the fleet goodies if any of them are worth getting, but my Fed fleet is lagging a bit behind.
As much as I hate (and I do mean HATE) them, Elite Fleet Shields (space ones) are insanely good in PvP, because of how much innate resist you can get just by being shot at, especially with the Res A modifier.
Since you left, they've added the Dominion lockbox, which has added Phased Polaron weapons, along with a variety of new DOFFs, and also I think the Fleet Support DOFF pack. So those added some new DOFFs.
The Dominion box also brought us the Jem'hader HEC, and Jem'hader Dreadnought, which come with their own unique consoles, which can also be used on the Bug.
Also Elite space weapons have been gotten. Feds got Phasers, which can proc a shield heal, while KDF got Disruptors which can proc a shield resistance debuff.
Elite Hangar pets, outside of the Elite scorpions from Romulan Rep aren't known as of yet (So far as I know of course). But fleets are getting very very close.
Aside from that, not much I can think of. There's probably plenty more.
I remain empathetic to the concerns of my community, but do me a favor and lay off the god damn name calling and petty remarks. It will get you nowhere.
I must admit, respect points to Trendy for laying down the law like that.
All of what Mimey said, plus escorts being flown by shivering smurfs.

Thanks for the updates. On the topic of elite hangar pets: are there elite widow pets (the Tholian Carrier pets)?
Ugg, grinding these passives is going to be such a pain. It almost makes me not want to restart playing as it was the main reason I stopped. I just didn't find the Romulan Mark missions enjoyable. Have they added any additional ways to earn these marks (i.e. more space missions that hopefully don't suck)?
Can someone explain this line to me in a noob-friendly way: "KDF got Disruptors which can proc a shield resistance debuff."
I have Purple XII Phased Tetryon Accx2 weapons. Are the new Fleet Elite Weapons better?
Oh, and as far as the new Andorian Escorts go, are they better than the fleet escorts? I already have a fleet Defiant and a Fleet MVAE.
Seriously tough... if your into pvp. You don't really need the rep that badly. The tier 2 reps are a nice dps boost... but you'll have those With in the first week or so of playing. Grinding up to tier 4 takes longer... but really the placate is stupid and cheesy... so you just loosing out on some passive and active shield regen... Which is nice to have but you can do just fine with out.

The Andorian escorts are on-par with other fleet escorts, such as the Fleet Defiant or Fleet Patrol escort. I prefer the engineering version of the Andorian escort. As for if they are better...depends honestly on what you're looking at in them.
As for Widow Fighters...the upcoming Tholian rep on Tribble seems to indicate they are adding them through those. However on Redshirt (and probably soon on Holodeck) they will be adding Mesh Weaver pets for Recluse pilots. Normal EC ones, Advanced dil ones, and Elite ones from the tier 5 science for an SB.
However, they've added no new things for gathering Rom marks. Your best bet is still the Tau Dewa daily and epohh tagging.
Well, as for Fleet weapons...
They did recently add AccX2 versions to ALL the Advanced ones (not torps though), so you can get decent Acc-based energy weapons from your SB now. I believe this also applies for Elite space weapons as well.
Now, to better explain the Elite Disruptors (hopefully I can)...
Normal disruptors as they stand now can proc a damage resistance debuff on your foe. however shields can also have damage resistance. Just mouse over your Emergency Power to Shields ability, it'll say that it provides X% resistance for your shields. Now, the Elite Disruptor weapons have an extra proc, which will allow them to cause a shield resistance debuff on your enemy.
So basically...these can weaken both your enemy's hull resists, AND shield resists, making them take greater damage no matter where you are hitting them.
So, 'better' again is really up to you. If you want to weaken your enemy's hull and shield resists, those Elite disruptors can be nasty. But if you've been doing perfectly well with your phased tetryons, don't fix what ain't broken honestly.

I can't speak for them being better than fleet patrol escorts, however I will say that the engineering version is better than the science version for a team setup. The sci variant can get more shields due to more field gen consoles, which is nice if you don't have a healer to rely on. If you do, your shields won't matter as much as you'll likely have stupidly high shield resist as it is.
The engineering version has more engineer console slots for you to stick RCS Accelerators into, in addition to your armour consoles. That alone puts it far above the other two for staying on target while still being just as tanky, and that is what is important for being in an escort.
The tac version is garbage, should never have left the shipyards and the Andorian responsible for designing it sacked and then executed.
