Have only been playing STO for a little over a month. It's been a long time since a decent Star Trek game has been offered to the masses. Getting ready to try out a Klingon alt and hope it is more difficult to level than the Fed characters.
Folks, this is kind of why the mods keep telling people not to respond to posts that make them angry.
But it's about as effective as telling Klingons and Nausicaans not to have bar fights with Starfleet.
Keep the D'k tahg's in their sheathes, please. I have to bring out the Disruptor pistols and start shooting harsh messages if blood gets spilled or feelings get hurt, okay?

It's possible that someone in this thread might earn themselves a warning or an infraction for stepping over the line. Don't be that person.
If you have to respond to offense, however, please do it the Starfleet way: Report it.
Kinda hard to report trolls when the support page doesn't allow me (or half the forum population, most likely) to actually do anything. I'm sure there's a workaround or solution to the issue, I just haven't found it.

right, ever tried levelling a klingon when it started out? ever compare amount of missions except grinding between klingon and fed? and do you find that the the klingon has anywhere as near missions than feds? or is it more "explore this cluster until you fall down dead" part of levelling.
I remember a time when pvp was the only way. but then again I played from the start of STO.
and I heard all the promises and the lies from Cryptic and Dstahl.
i dont care about missions. im a klingon player not a fedbear, i pvp. levelling was mirror events when they were twice a day. pvp was never the only way. you also arent impressing anyone, slipping in the "i played since beginning" so did i and alot of people

Because the KDF is getting at least one new mission in the tutorial and a new feature as starting at level 1. Why would it not stand any longer ?
Also, there are most likely at least user on the forum that finds anyone's posts offensive. So mass reporting may result in a south park like "Everybody vs everybody" scenario.

The server runs off of the tears of forum pessimists, doomsayers and general whiners. This power then goes back into keeping the KDF alive. It is quite a healthy cycle.
So the big issue for me here, that many have brought up to me both in Fleet and out, is not the competition for population DIRECTLY, but the already weak and nearly dead mission queues.
As a smaller Faction, the only big issue I have regularly heard bemoaned in Fleet chat is the time it takes for a KDF-only PvE queue to fill. Federation players may very well take it for granted that if they want access to content - Fleet missions, Fleet Actions, PvP - it is remarkably more difficult to gain access to these as a member of a minority Fleet.
With there now being THREE factions for people to chose from for these mission queues, Federation might not notice the bump in queue time, but the KDF will feel it, I can assure you of that.
Unless the development team can come up with a good reason for Romulans to be queued up with the other two factions for these missions, I don't like the outlook for Fleet Marks at all.

Yes, I'm aware that people have difficulty with the support page. There is also an email for customerservice@perfectworld.com. You can open a ticket that way and specify that it's about STO, it's a Website and Forum issue, and provide a link to the offending post.
All else fails, you can PM a moderator... but there will be no ticket, no guarantee that anyone will act on it in a timely fashion (or at all), and we can't respond to tell you that we're doing anything about it. Sorry, but that's how we have to operate.
I also have to tell you that if we moderated topics out of existence just because someone doesn't like the subject, the forums would be a lot emptier. So if anyone does send me a PM, they might want to explain what forum rule they believe is being violated and why.

I have given this thread every chance to show that it can be constructive and not simply "stirring the pot". Since this potential has gone unrealized and the thread is continuing to create incidents and ill-will, I have decided to close it.
