I love the STO forums, i see soooo many diverse players with many different opinions, advice, and criticisms. Most though tend to come from the Fed side.
Toys
I see KDF players who are feeling down because the Feds are getting yet more toys to play with, but I am willing to bet my war targ that after the magic has worn off, and their silly Andorian vessels are still being blasted to pieces by the KDF elite, then they will soon be crying again on the forums, ...buff this and add that..., you mark my words.
The KDF dont cry, we don't need to be receiving new ships all the time, because we perfected our ship craft eons ago!
Look at the most sought after ship in the KDF, the B'rel BoP. It is the second oldest Klink ship (D7 being the oldest chronologically) and it is the oldest BoP. Why is it so desirable? because it rocks! The design is perfect, the flight speed and turn rate are awesome, not to mention the advanced battle cloak! The Feds absolutely hate it, and will NEVER have anything like it.
When you look at their special/unique weapons, ours are just as good, if not better, for example:
They have a Dreadnought Crusier with a spinal lance, and we have the devastating Siege Destroyer, which makes their lance weapon look like a urine stream.
So, we needn't worry about what toys the Feds get, because no matter how many toys they get, we will still be better, and they will still cry.
Clothing
Feds have more clothing options, simply because they are all Girls. We KDF, are about honour, and winning the battle, not losing in "style"! Seriously, if your part of the KDF, and you want some nice pretty items of clothing to wear, then you had better defect to the Feds. I'm sure they would welcome you, and you can share Tribble breeding tips, or chat about the color of Uhura's underwear or something.
Why do we have limited options of clothing? its because we are KDF!! It is there to look menacing, not to look "cute". Has anyone else noticed that you cant put a skirt on female Klingon officers? Why would i want one of my bridge officers in a skirt? i want them looking terrifying, not flirtatious!
Clothing options? Pah! We don't need them! (besides, i dont think my Jem'Hadar Boff would appreciate me making him look pretty!)
Summary (so far)
The KDF are considered to be "the alien trash of the galaxy" according to Star Fleet, so we must show the Feds that we are not trash. We are the scourge, the terror, the conquerers, and we must make sure that any girl and their pretty Fed ship do not pass along peacefully. Go to Ker'rat, and terrorise them, Go PvP and blow them to smithereens. Be proud to have what we have, and be proud to be part of the KDF.
Oh, and remember, if you see any Feds Poncing around in there shiny new andorian ship in PvP, ensure to give them special attention with every available weapon, so we can laugh at them when they cry again!
Most of the Federation ships are bigger than their counterparts, does it help?
Nope, because it's not a matter of size, but a matter of technique.
I'm pretty happy with the KDF, the main reason I support more content for the faction is just so I can spend more time with my KDF toon. The end game does get stale for both sides, but the KDF feel it more simply because they don't have as many options.
Beyond that the KDF is superior.
Feds can keep their pretty lockbox ships, I still fly my trusty Hegh'ta BoP and she can lock horns with the best of them. Feds can keep their Barbie Doll accessories, my Orion tac (male) uses the Omega ground set with costume unlock - he looks like someone ready to fight on the front lines, not walk down a catwalk.
We also have one thing they don't have in the FED.
GORNS!!!!!!!!
Dag nab it. =3
( yeah, I have a FED Catilan, but he's no GORN!!! )
my Ferasan is hunting u down right now
most KDF are better players why because we all ready leveled up our fed then moved on so we have had more game time its simple really

The IKS Somraw was first encountered in 2151. It predates the bird of prey.
It's kinda like saying you wouldn't a Ferrari even if it were given to you for free, because the mileage sucks, it's a two seater, it has no luggage space and it can't go over speed bumps.
Has anyone else noticed that you cant put a skirt on female Klingon officers? Why would i want one of my bridge officers in a skirt? i want them looking terrifying, not flirtatious!
Actually you can, there are KDF skirts, you just need to buy that from the Lobi store. And it looks rather good and complements the rest of the outfit.
Um. I wear a skirt on the bridge from time to time..and not my typical Orion dance skirt either, but a nice warriors skirt. Done up in warriors colors, with warriors accutraments, and a compression pistol strapped to me hip..
And being somewhat vain I expect my crew to very carefully maintain dicipline by carefully breaking dicipline with appropriatly timed wolf wistles..or targ wistles, or what ever, sign of appreciation that aknowledges thier captains inspirational presence. And of course if they don't, I keep a couple of agony booths I salvaged out of a mirror universe battlecruiser. Marvelously handy for inspriring the crew, and the both operators have shown them selves to be marvelesly expert and inventive! Why I've seen them use a subjects own muscles to lock them into position while applying nerve induction to the skin.. I'm told it feel exactly like being burned alive!
Well, much as I love talking about inspiring my own crew *makes an Orion happy sound*, I did recieve my command training at the hands of Khemaraa Iron Hand, who was recovered from the Borg some 50 years back... what stories he has! He never fought Kirk, but I hear he did send the famous Captain Sulu running once. I understand now that he was from a slightly different universe then our own, yet I have seen some of the sensor records of his battles against the federation during what he called the "General war", and later his battles against the insidious Inter Stellar Conconrdium, and even later the Andromedans (also known as the Kelvans).
I say all this as an Inspiration. In his universe the Klingon Empire was also badly outnumbered in its campains across the Dynaverse, yet time and again they achived victory. Was thiers the superior stratagy.. yes, often it was. Were thier ships particularly better? No, not especially. Thier tactics? Over time, yt more important then all of that was thier will to achive victory inspite of odds of better then 3 to 1 against them.
The mighty ZTempest knows of what I speak, for he fought in those wars also. And there are other yet on these same forums that fought with, or at the side of the empire during the general war in that long ago universe. I find it inspiring that even in that universe the Del Solima family were members of the Korgath Cartel of the Orion Pirates (closely associated with the Klingon Empire).
The Klingon Empire, and the KDF has faced near overwheling odds time and time again. I n this universe, and others. They have achived victory after victory, or achived a defeat that even thier enemies recall with a shudder of very real fear.
All we as warriors have ever asked of the Empire is to give us the tools to serve the empire. We may compeate with each other. We may scramble to presiege and position of our house's, septs, clans, and other groups and unions of even convenience. But time and again we have always rallied to battle.
I am an Orion, and a woman of my specie, yet my family has served the Empire for nearly 200 years when they fled to the empire rather then try to accomadate the expanding United Federation of Planets as it absorbed the Orion homeworld, and my peoples oldest colonies. We have earned our place long before the Orion Cartel fled the federation a few years back. I will stand my families battle history and honors against any of the great houses of the empire and we will not be found wanting.
Now we are many peoples. The Empire is a home for WARRRIORS. Not herd animals, happy in thier homogenity, thier sameness. The Empire is a seathing mass of peoples, often facteous to the point of the knife, the garrot, the qUi'lAth (assassins knife) yet we love our freedom to choose our own path.
So we fight. The Federation can be a strong ally, and a worthy enemy, but thier political path is not ours. They do not understand the Empire, and how adversity has bred tremendous will and strength, and how that cannot, must not be surpressed for some illusion of the greater good. Thier own prime directive applies. Such a high sounding priniciple, yet how often have they broken it. We are more honest. If we bring war to a non spacefaring people, we only take to battle sufficient to do the job. They have a chance to win, and achive favorable terms for thier peoples and worlds. They show thier worthiness to be a part of the empire by showing us thier fighting spirit. The more they show, the greater thier standing. It is equitable, and fair. And those worlds which are
un warlike. That do not have the fire in thier souls find they are subjects of an empire that for the most part leaves them to thier own ways, and does indeed protect them from other starfaring races that would truely make them slaves or would practice genocide against them.
Go my fellow captains. Go my fellow WARRIORS! We must save the galaxy from both the threat of dangerous and billigerent honorless races of drones, and others that stoop to the most low and base of honorless forms of battle, to those who would strip from our cultures and spirits that which makes us what we are.
Battle, Glory, and great Honor awaits those that battle to hold at bay these forces in the galaxy. We battle against entropy its self. We battle to preserve the independence of all peoples, the right to choose thier own way, and if we must, and with heavy heart bring the conquerers hand to worlds as lightly as we can, so that thier people can at least be protected from far far worse.

Darn you Khemaraa you made me hose down my monitor with coffee! I read down to the above section right as I was taking a sip of coffee and lost it. I'm still laughing. On those rare occasions I visit the blue side I see hords of female toons running around dressed to the nines, to put that much attention into their barbie doll makes me wonder about the masculinity of those men playing those toons. I'm wondering when Cryptic will offer the Feds accessories for their toons, things such as handbags, purses, necklaces, rings etc.
Oh, how I love it when the Federation fleetyard come up with new prey.
I can only image the frustration when those Kumari pilots realise my BoP can stay on their tails with ease, inserting quantum torpedoes in their exhaust vents...
Can't wait to face these things in my Negh'Var, to make them realise that even if they can bring those guns to bear the KDF won't simply roll over and play dead.

Ahh, your monitor has gained great honor by being sprayed down with a warriors morning raktigino! Truely it must be worthy of service to one of the Empire warriors!
I certainly don't mind if the Federation offers such trinkets to thier starfleet females... as long as I get to plunder them! Its only propper they I should be able to take such frippery from those unable to defend thier property from others.. especially as such items will surly look far better on myself then on some weak, scrawny female of the federation. After all, I (and my daughter Uru-Ani) are fine examples of Orion women. Worthy to serve beside the galaxy's premire warriors...and inspire them...
We need a propper game mechanic for orions... what we cannot buy with Lobi, Zen, etc... we should be able to steal, err, I mean "Liberate" for the use of the more worthy!
Hmm maybe my Lethean sci captain should do some plundering of these weak federation types, they could be useful as test subjects I suppose in his science experiments.

Big Daddy D'nul doesn't want or need any baubles from Starfleet. If they would do a proper game mechanic for us Orions then I want a few Federation slaves -
1 Ferengi accountant - So I can cheat on my taxes and get away with it.
2-4 Bajoran house maids - To clean up around my quarters and do my laundry, male or female will work since one is as feminine as the other.
2 Caitains - To take on those hunting trips I do every year, would come in real handy with the tracking.
I toyed with the idea of taking a Fed female for a bedwench but here are the problems I ran into-
Benzites, Caitains, Ferengi, Pakleds, Rigelians, Saurians, and Tellarites are all butt ugly.
Humans and Trill - Both break too easily and the diameters are too small.
Andorian - May lay a bunch of eggs or something producing far more children than I want or need.
Betazoid - Got women who control my mind as it is don't need one that can read it as well.
Bajoran - Both males and females are feminine so may get confused and pick the wrong sex.
Bolian - Has caustic blood would have to change my name from D'nul to Bob.
Fed Klingon - had plenty of those wanting to do the "Orion" thing already and are bored with them.
Vulcan - Once every 7 years is too long to go between fornicating.
So i'll have to stick with the green sisters, I dont like thinking for myself anyway. And besides you know what they say - Once you go green you'll know what I mean.

That's because the weak tend to band together in fear of the apex predator.
Klingons rule, federation drools...as they quibble over the prime directive and lick the boots of their Undine masters.

Um.... might want to read that one again, chief.
I enjoy the KDF because they offer "direct" solutions to problems. Also Orions. Lots of Orions.

What i meant was Quality will always beat Quantity!
Feds will always rely on the skills of others and the tech on the ship. Thats why they are only good in numbers.
A single KDF elite will always outwit any Fed simply because we use skill, guile, and our cunning to win the day.
Orion slave women is the only case where quantity beats quality! lol

The IKS Somraw was first encountered in 2151. It predates the bird of prey.
One of my federation characters has a Gorn on his bridge.
Finally someone posts the truth, and we have a reason for superiority that can not be disputed at all!
I think with "chronologically" he meant in terms of when they appeared on screen in the real world.;)
I pity people who own a Ferrari.
