KDF Loggers?

Noticed this week quite a lot of instances of KDF players in Kerrat apparently logging off just as they are about to explode. They appear shortly afterward in another part of the map, is this actually a log off or is there some other ability I am unaware of that can make them disappear? It is not battle cloak, it is not the Rom Quantum Singularity or mask energy signature. Sometimes they just vanish instantly other times the ship appears to halt on roll over before fading away. What gives?

Not seen any Fed players do it yet so hence wondering if it's a new KDF ability.

Cheers

PS This is not a have a go at smelly klinks thread, just trying to get to the bottom of it so consturctive replies please.

Suppose it's an error. I saw something simmilar on cmdr. lvl pvp so no consoles or super abilities, and MES/cloak are easy to recognize. Sometimes KDFers were simply vanishing just to either appear a somewhere else (not far away) a second later (to fast for this to be log off/log in). Pretty pissing when you are abot to press space. It's not dependant on the hull or shield level. Sometimes it happens on beginning of the fight.

I saw it only in Arena, never in Ker'rat or C&H, but I thought it's my GPU going crazy and ignored it. And it was only happening on ships with cloak. Never saw non-Klingon ships doing it. Only Raptors, BoPs, K'T'Ingas etc. Gorn and Nausicaan ships never done this.

    Some cloak bug?

    It's the PvP queue popping.

Unless they appear a minute later, then yes, this.

Since last week I've also experienced random disconnects. No timeout timer, just disconnect to login screen straight away.

Could be related to those. I tend to get them in STF's, and I can log back in and fly in roughly 20 seconds from the moment things go wrong...

I did get discoed like 3 times today... and I havn't played to much other times this week so perhaps its that ?

It could also be KHG shield... I know from talking to friends a few times they will proc it as I am cloaking... and it looks odd when I'm gone and show up somewhere else.

What you describe sounds like it could be due to one of the placates, if it was on the order of seconds or so. Jam sensors, maybe?

If you're 10 seconds away from a PvP pop you might not want to activate abilities that will still be on cooldown once you zone in. So the fact that they're holding back might lead to that critical moment, especially if the timer jumps around or adds 10 seconds a few times. Or they could be loggers. I try to say pop in zone if I'm about to leave a decent fight. The good part is that it's Kerrat so who cares if they log, and the good part is it's Kerrat not here so you can name and shame in zone when you see them again.

It could be that tier 5 reputation omega thing that cloaks you for 5 seconds? Sometimes if you're out of combat long enough or depending upon what Klingon ship it is, you use that omega reputation ability, then you use a battle cloak if you have it or regular cloak if you happen to be out of combat. Or I guess it could be pvp queues popping, or lag or some other ability.

I have seen a few feds log too lol.

2 days ago some fed sci cruiser kept doing it, but I did not mind :)

Was going to say, since I'm almost exclusively in Ker'rat with my KDF toons - this is something that I see Feds do frequently. I've even asked in zone here and there if Tal was back.

You can hit 125 Eng, EM, DOFF'd TT the APO3, EPtE, AtD... and they're likely doing that with Cell - then poof - disappear. Moments later, they're coming at you from another angle but generally the same direction (same half of the map)...

    T5 Rom, MEF, logout?

I never really understood it - it's not like dying in STO matters in the least.

What they are doing has been around for a long time in PVP areas, there are even several youtube videos of players doing it. As soon as they are about to die they log off the game and then log right back in. And it puts them back at the spawn point. Sorry but it is an exploit that has been around for a long time.

I've noticed a couple of fed players who are actually doing this... I know because every time they "log" I make my way closer to their spawn and when they zone back in a couple seconds later I gank the TRIBBLE out of them.

Only cowards log out during combat, and loggers deserve to be spawn ganked. Dont fear death (you respawn in 15 secs lol)

I can't imagine it's hard to do a UI check to prevent logging out in combat.

I'll just go ahead and say it. Why not. It is @izzled from federation emergency services fleet. I have seen him do it in kerrat a number of times and occasionally on ground maps too when he is not in a premade.

And please don't warn me again for stating facts that I and numerous others have seen this person doing it. If you truly care about exploiters ruining this game you will allow this post to stand cause many others have seem him actually do it. Hopefully I can get a little backup on this.

I use MEF if I get decloaked, and with the Romulan subterfuge boffs makes it about as powerful as a regular cloak allowing me to remain fully hidden until cloak is back off cooldown. They may just be doing this. Its like having a second battle cloak.

Yes he does :D He's the guy that will stroke his own ego when he kills you by saying in chat how good he is and how much you suck, and cry and whine that his skills and hypo don't work when he gets killed....and that he's still 'awesome' and you still suck.

Yep that most certainly fits the description of the guy two posts above you :P

And while you attempt to hide this in your post I haven't seen bigglesworth in quite a while. Although he was a problem too. No need to hide names in black dude.
