I don't think anyone would have been upset if there was a fleet vet ship. I think we all expect it coming too be honest. We are all a bit suprised that it hasn't happened yet.
BUT, please do not release the console on the vet ship to the fleet ships. But allow the fleet ship to use the vet console.
I wish he could tell us if a Fleet karfi was incoming (with a new skin).
The Picard maneuver will interesting, I feel like they will need to do more than just the warp jump to make it worth a console. Other wise I don't see much use for it outside of shortening aphastrike distances, or brief attack evasion. Maybe they could add a decloak damage bonus to it or something.
I think it could work something like the Tier 5 Romulan rep power. Maybe like 3 seconds you can't be hit but can keep on firing.
That would be pretty fitting, but it brings up the whole ships are capable of targeting at warp thing, which kind of renders the maneuver useless doesn't it?
Put me down as one of those wanting the Dauntless! That ship looks great!
Looking at it now, I can see tons of similarities between it and other ships, elements of the Prometheus, Vesta, Star Cruiser.
What would it be in game though?
Regarding shuttles mentioned, Janeways' SC-4 from VOY Endgame, which is a variant/refit of the Class 2 seen throughout Voyager is different from the Type 11, which was seen in Insurrection.
The Type 11 is my favourite shuttle design to date (the Sovereign Captains Yacht being a very close second). Would love to see it and the Scout ship (also from Insurrection) in game.
I can't wait to loot a Romulan artificial quantum singularity warp core! It'd be cool to have an armour slot, though we would need more variety of consoles if you take armour from the engineering slots.
One thing I always thought they should add to engineering console slots was different types of dilithium articulation frames; that would be more efficient at restoring power. For example, one would be better at lessening the power drain to weapons when firing multiple beams or canons, another type could decrease the amount of power full impulse drains from your subsystems.
I also wouldn't mind a tritium intermix adjuster to help stop my subsystems getting diasbled by the bloody Tholians too! :P

Since you guys think they would be low on demand, why not make them available in the regular Ship Store. Or maybe involve them in a type of ship crafting, where you got certain ship parts and assemble them. Maybe have unique twists, like the Niagra is said to have a high warp speed, so you could give it a normal Sector Speed buff that doesn't require a Borg or MACO engine.
Crafting: I like the idea of assembling our own equipment. And I could honestly see the parts being new types of drops or rare rewards on certain mission. Like how you want a ACCx3 Weapon, where you can't just put 3 ACCx3 enhancments in. Instead you have the first ACC enhancement being craftable, the second ACC in slot 2 is a regular rare drop, but the third ACC in slot 3 is a rare drop off a endgame mission that doesn't drop all the time (and is account bound).
Warp Core and Armor slots: Yes! The Icon wouldn't be hard to change, just use the Impulse Engine slot (that's a warp core) and make a more appropriate one for Impulse Engines.

the Warship was more often on-screen than the Battleship ( = Dreadnought), the Heavy Escort Carrier is a pure STO ship and was never on-screen.
The difference in SCALE alone is worth having both Ships.

The Dreadnought is a very squishy Carrier, fun but squishy.
The other 2 are Escorts, the Warship could be more on the tanky Cruiser end of the spectrum.

honestly. i'm not very interested in *new cryptic designed* ships, sure they fill the ship-of-the-month-flavor spot, but honestly i don't even see many players in the Chimera or Regent or Armitage anymore... those ships loose their novelty pretty fast, it's more about the C-Store Consoles there.
We already have 2409 Skins with the +1 Ships for many Ships, i guess the MVAM could still use one, but the Defiant, Galaxy, Sovereign, Intrepid etc. all already have one or two...
i'd be more interested in simply giving the Ship Artists more time to update or even remake some of the old Art Assets, some important ones like the Galaxy / Intrepid / Defiant / Sovereign Class really almost hurt to look at in this game, they deserve better and with some new C-Store packs it would make sense to update or even remake the original TV Hero Ships to look not only "good enough" but "effing AWESOME"... and THAT is what they deserve.
I understand the need to keep lobi character bound, but why not make it so everything purchased with lobi is received in a tradable crate that a player can trade to another character or put on the exchange. For Example if a player wants a MKXII Jem?Hadar set they trade their MKXI set + lobi for a tradable crate with the entire MKXII set in it and then the player can do with it what they want. Most of the more valuable items in the lobi store are already like this. Maybe just have things bind on equip after upgrading instead of pick up or account bound, but bound to character on equip. There are reasonable ways around the lobi problem, but maybe I am missing something with the lobi.
Kitbash ships:
It is a shame they have no interest in doing a New Orleans Class. I think it is actually a proper looking Federation ship and much better looking than many of the early cryptic variants. The Springfield is not bad, but no worse than the Cheyenne class already in game. Regardless of who might like the look of a ship few people will use a ship that does not have a good BO setup.
The Constellation Class (!A KITBASH!) would be great, but like the Oberth, Miranda, and Constitution would end up being a T1 z-store ship. I would take a T5 New Orleans over a T1 Constellation. I don't buy T1 ships.
I'm happy my question about lobi account bound was answered.
The answer however was very poor.
Basically 'we don't do it because we want to be able to give free lobi in special events and it is too easy to exploit by getting that free lobi with multiple accounts and pooling it together'.
... which is ridiculous because they are severely inconveniencing the ENTIRE playerbase to prevent a few people with dozens of characters each (apparently since this is such an exploitable threat!) from accumulating lobi.

The problem..and what PISSES people off about the lobi system is that:
1- Lobi can only be acquired by opening lockboxes. Keys cost money.
2- Lobi items are bind on pickup. If one of my characters has lobi and I need lobi item for another character I cannot purchase the item and transfer it.
3- Opening lobi with one character means other characters are locked out of lobi items. If you open lockboxes with multiple characters then you end up being SCAMMED out of money-costing keys and not being able to use their lobi.
To fix this:
1- Make lobi account bound. God, make it a currency not an inventory item.
2- Make lobi items come in an account-bound crate. No more bind on pickup.
3- If you guys want to give free lobi in events and not have it be exploited then you simply TIME GATE IT. Make the missions that give free lobi not give lobi outright but rather a one-per character unique item that is used in a doff mission. The doff mission will turn into lobi. The doff mission takes 24 hours to complete. That way only X amount of lobi can be made per character in account per day. THAT is easy enough to math out...you already did this with the reputation system.
... a little work for once-a-year free lobi event is too much to ask to not TRIBBLE off the playerbase the rest of the year? C'mon now.
The AI you guys have is good enough. The problem is that for some reason the AI is being scripted to act stupid.
For example, pit a mirror event terran empire battleship against a borg cube from STF's.
just compare what they do. The mirror ship will actively heal, use various attacks, tractors, etc. The borg cube will just take damage stupidly and barely tractor/use abilities/heal.
Mirror ships heal each other. Borg just ignore each other.
So...whatever it is that makes the Mirror ship AI be so good PUT IT in all the AI in the game.

i HAVE 3 Jem'Hadar Ships (all expensive LockBox Ships), all 3 on 1 Character [i play that Alien as Jem'Hadar already, i just need the proper visuals and Ketracel White addiction now ;P ], i have a Jem'Hadar BOff too, the Jem'Hadar ground Set + new Lobi Gun (bound to char) and Jem'Hadar DOffs (some bound to char)....
i want, no i NEED those BOffs to be Captain of the Ships i already have ...
i guess i need also, in addition an option to promote a BOff to Captain and REPLACE the current Captain i am using right now on this Character Slot instead of a new one,
maybe just simply replace the Captain, maybe move the Captain to the new Character Slot instead.... or demote him to be the BOff instead? (withe 10 Characters i have really enough alts and i already play half of them as the Aliens that the BOffs are supposed to be)...
...not to mention i still need a Tholian Captain for the Tholian Ships, i need a true Cardassian Captain for the Galor. (no BOff's available here yet).

Indeed, unless the Dev Team creates an upgrade slot or upgrade program that requires you to own that ship in order to get a better one.
New Orleans class please... I like that ship. Better than the Challenger or the 3 nacelle Ambassador USS Princeton. And I want a cruiser escort that's from the late 2360s.
I want to see crafting not become a variant of the reputation system. I hated the grind for that.
His comment about the Senior Staff system sounds interesting... maybe get new passive powers when you have BOFFs who become Chief Medical Officer, Chief Engineer, Helmsman, etc... and have an active power when you get your First Officer. (Wait that does sound like a variant of the reputation system)
I wonder why not add computer cores along with warp cores and ship hull armor. I think it would be easier to leave armor as engineering consoles and just slot computer cores and warp cores. How the warp and computer cores are designed might improve multiple systems and you can have 5 set space items (Adapted MACO space sets with shields, engines, shields, warp core, and computer core)
I find having a dog follow me around ESD a bit disturbing btw... unless its a Mini Schnauzer because I miss mine after he died.

I'll gladly add my vote in for a new Orleans too , looks really nice , and cant see a reason why the Cheyenne is in game and this isn't.

I always viewed the New Orleans as a Destroyer-type with the turn rate of between 10 and 12.
And her Torpedo launchers, maybe they could give her a unique twist in having her being able to fire torpedoes beyond 10km like we do with the Bio Warheads. Maybe give them a Salvo ability with a long cooldown and a narrow firing arc (45 degrees). Another possibility is giving the Pods having like a type of Energy Blast that's a cross between the Lance and the Lance Shotgun.

FAW is well explained, but it sounds like it still needs to be ironed out because it involves an ability spanning programming issue.
A grid like territorial pvp system would only come after fixing normal pvp.
The Constellation class looks like it will be the next major star fleet canon c-store ship, with the picard maneuver console.
The Norway class might be one of the last canon additions star fleet wise.
Crafting expansion is a PWE mandate, but can only happen after May.
PVP will likely take things from NW, like the foundry.
The Negh'Var will likely be the next Klingon +1 c-store ship or something.

Well it should warp you in front of your enemy while leaving an afterimage duplicate of your ship that the enemy is forced to target (think the photonic displacement console crossed with the subspace jump console). Counterable by an android boff operating a tractor beam. :P

i'd be more interested in simply giving the Ship Artists more time to update or even remake some of the old Art Assets, some important ones like the Galaxy / Intrepid / Defiant / Sovereign Class really almost hurt to look at in this game, they deserve better and with some new C-Store packs it would make sense to update or even remake the original TV Hero Ships to look not only "good enough" but "effing AWESOME"... and THAT is what they deserve.
I understand the need to keep lobi character bound, but why not make it so everything purchased with lobi is received in a tradable crate that a player can trade to another character or put on the exchange. For Example if a player wants a MKXII Jem?Hadar set they trade their MKXI set + lobi for a tradable crate with the entire MKXII set in it and then the player can do with it what they want. Most of the more valuable items in the lobi store are already like this. Maybe just have things bind on equip after upgrading instead of pick up or account bound, but bound to character on equip. There are reasonable ways around the lobi problem, but maybe I am missing something with the lobi.
Kitbash ships:
It is a shame they have no interest in doing a New Orleans Class. I think it is actually a proper looking Federation ship and much better looking than many of the early cryptic variants. The Springfield is not bad, but no worse than the Cheyenne class already in game. Regardless of who might like the look of a ship few people will use a ship that does not have a good BO setup.
The Constellation Class (!A KITBASH!) would be great, but like the Oberth, Miranda, and Constitution would end up being a T1 z-store ship. I would take a T5 New Orleans over a T1 Constellation. I don't buy T1 ships.
The answer however was very poor.
Basically 'we don't do it because we want to be able to give free lobi in special events and it is too easy to exploit by getting that free lobi with multiple accounts and pooling it together'.
... which is ridiculous because they are severely inconveniencing the ENTIRE playerbase to prevent a few people with dozens of characters each (apparently since this is such an exploitable threat!) from accumulating lobi.

The problem..and what PISSES people off about the lobi system is that:
1- Lobi can only be acquired by opening lockboxes. Keys cost money.
2- Lobi items are bind on pickup. If one of my characters has lobi and I need lobi item for another character I cannot purchase the item and transfer it.
3- Opening lobi with one character means other characters are locked out of lobi items. If you open lockboxes with multiple characters then you end up being SCAMMED out of money-costing keys and not being able to use their lobi.
To fix this:
1- Make lobi account bound. God, make it a currency not an inventory item.
2- Make lobi items come in an account-bound crate. No more bind on pickup.
3- If you guys want to give free lobi in events and not have it be exploited then you simply TIME GATE IT. Make the missions that give free lobi not give lobi outright but rather a one-per character unique item that is used in a doff mission. The doff mission will turn into lobi. The doff mission takes 24 hours to complete. That way only X amount of lobi can be made per character in account per day. THAT is easy enough to math out...you already did this with the reputation system.
... a little work for once-a-year free lobi event is too much to ask to not TRIBBLE off the playerbase the rest of the year? C'mon now.

The AI you guys have is good enough. The problem is that for some reason the AI is being scripted to act stupid.
For example, pit a mirror event terran empire battleship against a borg cube from STF's.
just compare what they do. The mirror ship will actively heal, use various attacks, tractors, etc. The borg cube will just take damage stupidly and barely tractor/use abilities/heal.
Mirror ships heal each other. Borg just ignore each other.
So...whatever it is that makes the Mirror ship AI be so good PUT IT in all the AI in the game.

i HAVE a Breen Ship (limited time only), i have a Breen BOff
i HAVE 3 Jem'Hadar Ships (all expensive LockBox Ships), all 3 on 1 Character [i play that Alien as Jem'Hadar already, i just need the proper visuals and Ketracel White addiction now ;P ], i have a Jem'Hadar BOff too, the Jem'Hadar ground Set + new Lobi Gun (bound to char) and Jem'Hadar DOffs (some bound to char)....
i want, no i NEED those BOffs to be Captain of the Ships i already have ...
i guess i need also, in addition an option to promote a BOff to Captain and REPLACE the current Captain i am using right now on this Character Slot instead of a new one,
maybe just simply replace the Captain, maybe move the Captain to the new Character Slot instead.... or demote him to be the BOff instead? (withe 10 Characters i have really enough alts and i already play half of them as the Aliens that the BOffs are supposed to be)...
...not to mention i still need a Tholian Captain for the Tholian Ships, i need a true Cardassian Captain for the Galor. (no BOff's available here yet).

one could say, you guys waited to long with implementing the Alt your BOff system,
if it had been available before the first LockBox Ship, that would have been perfect.
But now we got all the crazy Alien Ships and extra LobiStore items already, most of it is bound on our current chars, so now we need to Alt our BOffs, but on the same character slot now.
Because what good does me a Breen Captain when he is a complete new Character without the time limited time ship that i wanted for him?
I am not going to buy another set of Jem'Hadar Ships just to have the Captain look a bit more like a Jem'Hadar than my alien creator fake Jem'Hadar looks like... (and i know there are many fake Alien creator Jem'Hadars walking around in Starfleet and the KDF).
i could see that first officer take ONE ship with him by default to the new account, but 3? and maybe a Shuttle?
including slotted items, but then what about all the Bound DOffs and Items... that would get real complicated real fast (or you just change a lot of stuff to Account Bound instead of Character Bound, retroactively...)
well... think about it.
maybe in the end the easiest thing to do would just be to put the Species in the C-Store after all and add a Re-Species token to the planned Re-Trait Token that is confirmed for uuuh not-Season-8-but-bigger-may-update....
...maybe in addition just allow us to buy these rare Species as Option if we own the appropriate Ship, so we don't have so many rare Aliens running around..... or just unlock the Species otion through the Alt Your BOff thing for the current character slot for the use of a re-species token.

I want to see crafting not become a variant of the reputation system. I hated the grind for that.
His comment about the Senior Staff system sounds interesting... maybe get new passive powers when you have BOFFs who become Chief Medical Officer, Chief Engineer, Helmsman, etc... and have an active power when you get your First Officer. (Wait that does sound like a variant of the reputation system)
I wonder why not add computer cores along with warp cores and ship hull armor. I think it would be easier to leave armor as engineering consoles and just slot computer cores and warp cores. How the warp and computer cores are designed might improve multiple systems and you can have 5 set space items (Adapted MACO space sets with shields, engines, shields, warp core, and computer core)
I find having a dog follow me around ESD a bit disturbing btw... unless its a Mini Schnauzer because I miss mine after he died.

I always viewed the New Orleans as a Destroyer-type with the turn rate of between 10 and 12.
And her Torpedo launchers, maybe they could give her a unique twist in having her being able to fire torpedoes beyond 10km like we do with the Bio Warheads. Maybe give them a Salvo ability with a long cooldown and a narrow firing arc (45 degrees). Another possibility is giving the Pods having like a type of Energy Blast that's a cross between the Lance and the Lance Shotgun.
