Anniversary Event Extended!

We're extending our Anniversary Event until Monday, February 18th at 10AM PST! Make sure to participate before Q heads back to the Continuum. Read more for full details.

Also, if you were having any trouble completing "Temporal Ambassador", please try again today or over the weekend. We believe the issue that was blocking some players from completing it has been resolved.

    Can we keep the mission for the future Tholian mission arc? (remove the rewards if you must)

    The mission isn't going anywhere, and it will retain the T3 ship reward (but not the T5).

    bah...and here i rushed the mission to get the t5 ships for my alts......the one thing im wondering about...if we discharge the ship, then its gone for good once the event is over right? -.- if so that s a bit messed up, considering it is a t5 ship....sort of wish it would unlock in legacy or something after doing the event and getting the ship so if we want to discharge it we can and still be safe to get it back.

    Run it a few more times and stock up! You can have more than one of the ship boxes if you want. ;)

    If the event is now being extended then the "Temporal Ambassador" mission should be reverted to it's original Level 6 Federation Lieutenants / Level 22 KDF Commanders requirement instead of the new Commander 5 (Level 25) to play the mission!

    I've completed this mission with all but one of my Fed characters and would have done it with that last character if the maintenance hadn't kicked in. I logged back in about 10 minutes after the servers came back online, hit lvl 6 with the character 10 minutes later but was unable to receive the mission! :( I had a good 35-40 minutes left until the event was supposed to end, plenty of time to complete the mission, but no, seems the change in the new patch prevents my last lvl 6 Fed character from acquiring the mission. :(

    Thank you.

    As I said in another thread, I just started this game about 2 days ago, thinking I had to get to level 6 as the news post says, when I was able to get the task from Q/Eng at level 5. I only had one chance at getting a daily from Q due to my late arrival/graduation.

    Thank you for the extension. I only wish that I was aware of this last night. I scrambled with new characters to level up and complete the 3 year accolade until around 6:30am this morning. My eyes were crossing so badly that my Q Dailies were taking forever...lol. I haven't pulled an MMO all-nighter like that in years, lol. So now I can have a few more dailies in before he goes *poof*.

    Hey folks,
    Hoping someone can help. I can not get the mission. I talk to Engineer Kani but all he says is "nothing else at the moment Sir".

    I'm level 44 so I know that's not the issue. Anyone else had this problem?

    The mission is now available in the Mission Journal, rather than the Engineers.

    Yeah, I just don't see it there. Should it be under 'available' or somewhere else? I've looked everywhere I think.

    I would play it till Monday, but the most recent update has effected the mission at the end where myself and others can not reassign BOFFS on completion of the mission I don't want to go wasting my time queuing up a fleet mission in order to reassign BOFFS.

    I attained Level 6 and I want to do the mission to get the free ship. I thought it was extended through the weekend. I am confused as to how to get the mission to get the free ship.

    It's now in the mission journal. Here are the patch notes :)http://sto-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?goto=newpost&t=550321

    -The episode is now level 25
    -In the Federation mission Journal, the episode falls between Preemptive Strike and Hunting the Hunters.
    -In the KDF mission Journal, the episode falls between Keep Your Enemies Closer and Skirmish.

    I don't know who would call that extended. In my understanding of the word extended, it means that only the date is pushed out. If I was able to get it and now I can't, that is not extended. That is ended.

    I spent my evening playing with some friends that got me into STO. Now I am punished for thinking that extended meant extended instead of ended. That certainly has left me with a bad feeling about STO.

    they extended the amount of time people can claim the Tier 5 ships.

    The really ridiculous part of that is the change in level requirement to attain the mission! Any lvl 6 Fed character who had completed the mission prior to the maintenance and patch that changed those level requirements can quite simply repeat the mission without any trouble. Yet any lvl 6 Fed character who missed out for whatever reason can no longer acquire the mission and will therefore miss out on the free ships and "uniform"! :mad: That really does not seem very fair now does it?

    I posted in this thread on the 14th Feb about this "oversight" and, as expected, there's been no response.

    I was able to complete the mission with 6 of my 7 characters, unfortunately the 7th missed out due to Cryptic's poorly planned maintenance. If I'd had just one more hour before that maintenance my 7th character would also have completed the mission but it seems that's not going to happen now. :(

    They've extended the event's duration so they should have also extended the availability of the mission in it's original state, because that was a large part of the event's celebrations.

    If they can do this once without any complaints from the players and fans then they'll surely do it again!

    I call bull****. I can still access it on my level 20, so the 25 requirement doesn't apply, but for some reason I can't get it to load with my second captain who I just got up to 6. I smell a rat.

    Edit: It looks like I can replay it with the character I used before because it's already finished under that profile. So, yes, it would seem as though they haven't "extended" a ******n thing except for getting that piece of **** balloon gun. One is left to assume that Q is actually calling the shots behind the current and future development of the game. For the sake of us all, let's pray that isn't true. That would be a really ****ty game.

    This is what I've been complaining about since the 14th Feb, so far no-one at Cryptic has given any sort of response so I'm left to conclude that PWE and Cryptic have decided that they will simply ignore any and all complaints in regards to this fiasco! :(
