    Oops :D lol
    yeah it is mate :D

I noticed something else that would be nice, the ability to turn on and off the Animation of an NPC. Example: You approach a drifting ship, interact with invisible object and then it steadys itself (stops drift animation).
It's also been requested to be able to set the animation when things show/hide. They would be quite useful.

True... to be fare anything little or big, with some imagination can open up whole new possibilities!

OH; NPC Dialogue... New Animation in the Charcters Picture... The more obvious one being a blacked out character to hide their identity.
Others include the Holographic Shimmer and mini explosions behind the character as it shakes and the person goes into a Scared Face.
A new one I thought of is 'Interferance', for when you have an incoming communication thats garbled or being blocked.

yeah, blackout and static have been used in cryptic missions several times. They probably wouldn't be hard to add.

Dream update: Customizable NPC powers/weapons (perhaps paper doll UI)

Realistic update: All costumes, Bajor props, Tholian props

I'd also like the ability to make 'immobile' behaviors or enemy groups. This could be useful for static 'defenders' on the ground or space turrets or hardpoints. The latter was kind of possible for a time, but unfortunately the quirks it depended on have vanished now that 'timid' ships shoot back.

Oh, and hp-based triggers for mob status, so they become 'friendly' after so much damage (ie surrender).
Take a look at my Foundry missions!

    Conjoined
    , Re-emergence, and . . .

Custom audio, there's gotta be some way to make this work, and a cutscene tool, short of custom assets. As we've seen with the latest featured episode, it does a lot to elevate the quality of a mission and brings the experience that much closer to the shows.

While I know they would never allow custom voiceovers for obvious reasons, I'd love to have access to some kind of library of the sounds that are already in game. For instance how cool would it be to have an explosion go off, the camera shake (both of which we can currently do) but include with it a red alert klaxon.

I think it could work like detail objects do now. Pull it out of a list and place it on the map and be able to set triggers to start and stop (for those that are continuous) the sound.

Too true, sound is one of if not the best way of setting a mood! If not using the various missions that use it in STO, then why not a film like Alien and Aliens, it uses sound and music to maximum effect. Might watch those now actually :D

OMG that sort of mission for the Klingons would be awsome, the ship is disabled and you know the Fek'lhr are onboard. Dead silence. You hear the sound of baning getting louder and closer and closer then just as its on top of you it stops. theres a pause. Then BOOM the wall near you explodes and hundreds come pouring through!...sweet

In the Morrowind editor you could place sounds, set their range/volume. It was a great way to create ambiance. Shame that something from 2002 is superior to this engine. :(

This iteration of the engine. Pretty much, the Foundry editor was slapped together from spit, baling wire and an assortment of things, pretty much as a testbed demo. One day I imagine they will get to the point where its a robust editing system, but that might take them building something from the ground up instead of bootstrapping on.

From what I've been told this Engine is capable of soo much more so it will safetly carry STO for a long life.
The problem I think is the Devs are having to spend most of their energy on the actual game content and maintaince as opposed to the Foundry... so while I do see a major overhaul or major update of the Foundry coming, I doubt any time soon :(

I wanna know something; as an update, how can we combat this 'Farming' craze and heated debate?
There is the one side that enjoy using it (including myself) because it allows us to make quick EC when we dont get to play STO as often as we like because of work/kids/etc.
Then theres the other side (I can appretiate) that hate Farming as its ruined searching for proper missions and essentailly crowded the Foundry with entry upon entry of what is essentially rubbish.

I figured a Type/Genre selection on the search bar would be a handy solution, mainly because a craze isn't so bad if nurtured and manipulated properly... Or to simply ban Farming all together and for them to introduce a Farming like Daily to STO!? (Klingon Frontline for example).
    What you think?

    (Edited Comment) - Wrong Thread

The only problem with that method, that I see in Youtube all the time is people are often terrible at *Tags.
Why not have a Tick Box system in Foundry...

[Species VS][] [Story-based][] [Combat-based][] [Farming][] [Based on novel][] [Based on STO story][]
    [PvP][] [PvE][] [Team-Based][] [Single Player][]

This way on the Search you just tick the revelant boxes OR have a few little scroll bars to limit search!

...but how can it automatically measure the time it will take to complete your mission?
It's like when you try to make a mission for a Level 10 person but it cracks it up to only allowing level 31+ players.
Hell, I've played levels designated level 41+ before without any combat!
I'm not saying it isn't a bad idea... just think theres a loop hole there.

The game calculates how long a mission is by getting the average of all the play times. That's one reason for the "5 reviews before its out" thing.

The level requirement of missions depends on what NPC Groups the author as placed in the mission.

Yeah I know that, Im just saying you need a more accurate method before you base a search engine on it. Perhaps people who have had an overall good rating in at least five differant missions published get an option to edit those required Level and time to play figures!?... like an unlocked feature!
It would make sense after all, seem as the Devs wanna make a Foundry-Rep system in this years seasons.
