Phased Polarons should shoot Pink!

It would be nice to be able to see some pink doom in this game. A quick adjustment to the colors would make for a pleasing but easy change.

I remember when we could change our phaser colors way back in the day... via commands. I miss those days.

    I find your obsession for pink disturbing but I agree .Everything about bug ships and their weapons should be pink :D

    All instances of these weapons on-screen were blue beams. They're already inaccurate by being purple.

    Are they a different color than normal Polarons currently?

    Though Jem'Hadar is purple, not pink...

    As for me, I'd like some completely white energy beams up in this game.

    I laughed out loud when I read this. Then I realized you might be serious. And I agree :D

    Tac consoles boost the damage, not the proc. Use whichever console matches the damage type... so Polaron.

    They are meant to be blue, not pink or purple...

    Well they are pink on the graphic, so they should shoot pink too hehe... just saying!

    Heh, oddly I agree with the OP. When they first came out last march they looked like pink-tinted phasers. Something different, so why not? Put it on a ship with a 2409 skin, do a pain pattern that covers lots of space in cotton-candy pink, make the Hello Kitty ship of doom!

    I heard cryptic is waiting for the release of pink skittles to make this happen, the technology just won't exist until that time so they can reverse engineer it.

    I think you can already color your ships pink can't you? I put strange colors on my ships like blue and purple all the time.

    I think pink weapons fire for the new phased polarons would be awesome. It would give more variety, at least.

    I think pink is the coolest color ever invented, someone should make Phased Pinkaron weapons... pink!

    They're a deeper purple color. They really are quite pleasant looking.

    I'm sorry I disagree about Phased Polarons.

    I love purple, I think purple is the coolest color ever invented.

    It is the color of Royalty, and Pimps and Mace Windu who is a Master Jedi Pimp.


    However, I am in favor of your Phased Pinkaron weapons being developed and implemented.

    They would have a 2.5% chance for subsystem shutdown, and a 2.5% chance to turn your target completely neon pink for 3 to 6 seconds.

    Pinkaron proc would be hard countered by Eng Team or soft countered by resistance through Subsystem repair skill ranks.

    Pretty sure the "Dominion polarons" shoot pink. Check em out. Though they proc polaron and tetryon stats.

    Yeah I was very disappointed when these dominion weapons didn't even remotely look anything like they did in the DS9 series. I haven't equipped the phased polarons i've got yet but I am pretty sure they probally do not look anything like they did in the series. Although with the lockbox ships the way they are in conjunction with this I don't think we will ever get anything ever again that will make this game feel like anything Star Trek its just too much corporate TRIBBLE involved in it that the atmosphere of the game, lockboxes, cut and paste content between factions, and that these lockboxes pretty much void the ability for them to even do another faction and not to mention that even if they did you go into pvp or something and get beaten with a better ship than the ones the faction will be able to sell you LOL.

    I bet though eventually they will sell you different colored beams if you will pay for them because this game is moving in a direction that isn't even Star Trek.

    I remember when the game first came out we had the ability to change our weapon colours. The amount of klingons running around Ker'rat with pink disruptors was unreasonable. Ever since then, I've been against pink space weapons.

    It's bad enough one of the best ground weapons for long range burst is pink.

    It should be dull blue, just like show.

    Using pink weapons in a fight would be the Star Trek equivalent of a ***** slap.
